Guild Wars 2

I’ve been playing for 6 months.. have spent quite a bit of money at the Black Lion Trader.. $50 with no char slot seems too steep to me so when the exp comes out, I will probably switch to a different game. The 3 guys I play with every night all had a negative reaction and say they won’t buy it for $50, and I’m going to play what my clan is playing. It was fun while it lasted however. That’s my 2 cents.

I have used 3 different emails and have not received a confirmation email. Yes, I checked spam. Also have a friend who signed up and he didn’t get an email either. Is there a known problem? Anyway to know if i’m subscribed?

Well I’d hate to reskin an ascended that I worked for. I like the look, just not the color of the Soros blade.

Well my main concern here is how I look, not if the enemies actually respond to sneaking correctly.

I’m playing a thief and I just crafted my first ascended weapon, Soros’s sword. To my dismay it is bright white mostly. It looks good, but wouldn’t an assassin want dark colors? I know my thief does, so I’m going to spend another 10 days waiting to put together Grizzlemouth’s sword which is black and orange, much better.

It’s a small detail, but this game does such a good job with the small details I was surprised that my thief has to creep in the shadows with a sword that says… “over here! look over here!”. He learned a long time ago to leave the bright and fluorescent colors at home.

If you are in this thread and you are trying to debate that we don’t need an option to turn off stunts like this April Fools prank… please tell me why you are adverse to an extra option that allows everyone the ability to play the game as it was presented when someone bought it? I think you’ll have to go a long way to convince me there is a good reason not to have the option.

I’m not offended by the prank, I am offended that it’s going to last 24 hours. No one with a clue can possibly find it interesting, funny, and ‘neat’ for 24 hours. I have nothing against you if you are enjoying the prank, just give the MANY who find it annoying after a few minutes, the option to turn it off. To argue against such a feature, well, it makes you look like a troll frankly.

Matryoshka.1607, I think maybe its you who doesn’t understand April Fools. It’s an opportunity to pull a gag on someone, a gag that ends after an appropriate amount of time. You don’t keep at them for 24 hours. You make the joke, then you end it. Once it’s time is up, then you just start annoying people if you keep going.

If you can’t understand why people would complain, then you aren’t trying very hard. It was funny.. for 5 minutes. I never in my wildest dreams, as a relatively new player, thought this would go on for the entire day?? I have 2 days a week to play, tonight and tomorrow. My guild was planning on running dungeons, instead, every single one of them logged off in frustration. Now my plans have changed and I’ll be working on my Twitch channel instead of playing GW2 tonight.

I have a great sense of humor, I understand the joke, but 24 hours of this is over the top. This isn’t the game I purchased. We need the option to turn it off when it gets old and it’s old.

Hello, I am a clan/guild leader for TKC (The Killing Committee). Normally we are an FPS, zombie survival type of clan but recently a few of us have ventured into MMORPG, specifically, Guild Wars 2, and we are quite hooked. Our clan is made up of all types, but I will say, that most of the guys playing GW2 are males in their 30’s and 40’s. In addition to that, while we are lvl 80’s and learning the game fairly well, we are new to this type of game, so user beware!

Yes.. thank you for the help website dude! This had gotten to be frustrating and quite the obsession. I was no longer enjoying the rest of the game and was losing sleep! HA

So I go over there and the very first minotaur I kill gives me a golden hoof. Good grief. Thank you!

Ok.. so this is stupid, but does anyone have any insight on how to get the golden hoof trophy? Me and two of my guild mates all started the game at roughly the same time and during that time, were making progress to the basic collections achievement. Well weeks ago they both found the golden hoof and have the achievement, meanwhile, I can’t find the golden hoof no matter what I do.

I have spent hours doing nothing but killing creatures with hoofs and while I get the other kinds of hoofs, I can’t get the golden? Is there something else I need to do to get that freakin’ thing?

Game needs to be optimized. Big boss battles shouldn’t be this lousy on FPS with a top notch gaming PC. I’m excited by what’s coming and the camera changes and such, but a game optimization would trump just about everything at this point. Imagine 30-60 FPS on ALL big boss battles.. it would be awesome.

I have lots of chests, but rarely find keys. Any help is appreciated.

You sound like a kid who has little patience, “XP is too slow, can’t finish the hearts fast enough, etc”. Really? I think XP is too quick personally but the truth is, that is all opinion. If you don’t like this game, that is a valid opinion because it’s yours, but don’t knock it for your own lack of patience.

I was reading a review on newegg a little while ago about an unrelated product. This person said in his review that he runs two monitors, one for gaming and the other is for watching movies while he plays games. Really? Kids these days. :P

I’m really happy with the camera changes mostly for the collision mechanic and 1st person, but if we always get what we want, why are there still broken events that have been broken since launch? Has no one requested they be fixed?

I too created a bug report in-game.

When people say a “random map instance”… you aren’t actually changing your home world right? You are just saying, you connected and whatever server I was on it was working. Right?

I know this is an older topic but, it’s not a solved problem so…

Spent two days trying to get this chain to work to no avail. I finally gave up and purchased the trait you get when you defeat the queen.

I think they should take the time to review the broken events and either remove them, or fix them. That would make me feel a lot better about any expansion purchase.

Expansion should be between $20-30.

I will wait for online reviews, mainly a review from Angry Joe, but I intend to yes.

I’m guessing these “Take my money” people actually mean, “Take my parents money”, because any adult, discerning gamer knows that our total lack of patience when it comes to new games is filling our hard drives with incomplete, over-hyped garbage.

I have confidence this expansion will be great because Guild Wars 2 is greatness, but “Shut up and take my money” really doesn’t need to become a thing.

2015 is the year gamers are supposed to SKIP pre-ordering to try to help the gaming developers take their games back from money hungry publishers. DO NOT PRE-ORDER GAMES AND DON’T ENCOURAGE IT. Dang guys.. learn.

So disappointed to see people all pumped about pre-orders. It seems gamers never learn.

We did backtrack, but when we got to the room where you have to take down the ceiling and open the floor, the floor was intact which trapped us. We waited for a while hoping someone would come use the mortar and destroy the floor, but no one came.

Killed the big boss, then swam around for 30 minutes trying to figure out how to get out of there short of just clicking a waypoint. Any help is appreciated.
