The fix to this kind of abuse is really simple. Just make it so you can only build flame rams within a certain distance of an enemy gate. Problem solved.

That’s just as bad as a limit, Flame Rams can be used as a wall in certain areas. Use to do this all the time in Pang.

Depending on how many were trying to get in, a knock would push em back or flames would hurt a crap ton of them.

Yeah, then why is it that every time I show up at fight club I get ganked by every DARP and DFND there; and when i run into a group that doesnt, none of them can kill me.

And it doesnt stop at fight club, when I am roaming and am spotted I am automatically targeted and most of the time i can either get away or kill them if it was 1v2 — sometimes even 1v3’s

And I take it none of you were there when our group of 10 people wiped out an entire mag zerg at a camp, then 10 mins later again @ a vet. When you guys saw us again your zerg was too scared to approach a small group of 10 people.We dont need to “resort to killing people at fight club”

So since we gank you at fight club “every time”, you never run into anyone who loses to you? You may not “need” to resort to killing people at fight club, but it’s pretty clear that’s exactly what happened in the screen shots. Where are yours? Oh wait…sensing a pattern here.

I’m saying that saying “we don’t/don’t need to do these things” is a bit silly when people are clearly shown doing said things in the series of screenshots in the previous page. But I dunno, maybe they had a good reason, like Maguuma was at their windmill and kept taking south camp.

From what i understand they were at the camp and saw a dead yak at the fight club spot. My guildies said he said “thank you” after we took out the fightclub people. so idk what was going on there…

What had happened was we were trying to start fight club. There were 3 WäR dueling a yak ele, when 2 yaks decided to jump in on a duel for a 1v3 and we were like "nuh uh, that ain’t happenin’’ so we jumped off the ramp on the windmill and were like “we goin to pound town on yo face” I told the ele to stand back because we get all blood lusty and start killing everything sometimes, it just happens you know? So we killed the one and as we were about to spike the 2nd, that’s when you showed up.

It’s like, you know, you see someone you kind of know getting tackled and stuff, you come over beat up the guy and he’s like “thanks man!” and you’re like “who was that?” and he’s like “the cops yo, I just tried to kill one of them and they weren’t having it!”

On a sidenote I think the outmanned is wonky. We were running 30+ in Maguuma BL and we were outmanned almost the entire time.
We spent the evening huddled up in our corner of Hills hoping the massive 60+ zergs fighting over Bay didn’t come over to bother us… because we have no idea how outmanned works.

This thread has more NNK QQ than all the last 4 weeeks of YB/DB/SoS. Yaks have pretty much accepted the daily night cap, and we prepare for an awesome last stand with NNK/TFV in our towers/keeps.

Also, Maguuma’s roaming groups are compromised of 100% mesmers, thieves, or D/D eles. Very efficient at running away.

He was in DB BL last night, he had on it for a bit, probably missed him when he was eating (Fatty). El Kharno(SP?) was leading for the most of it, who did a great job.

Your NA population is (gasp) about as large as Maguuma’s, possibly larger at some times. Last night, we took your entire borderland with 30 people. You had 30 people, too. We had some good fights, but ultimately kept you contained to one or two towers for an hour or two.

All of a sudden, out of nowhere, 60+ come and take back their garrison. You get the west keep back, and then we hold down the east keep for about an hour. Just as suddenly as the 60+ came, they were gone, so our 30 fought your 30, won a bunch, and took your borderland again.

An hour later, this same process happens again, except this time you come back with even more. If you guys would just spread out your play to have 40 people in a borderland all the time, instead of 20 for awhile, then 60+ for an hour, you would be doing much better.

Plus, ignoring the fact that your NA presence is fine (probably stronger than Yak’s NA presence, as far as population goes), if you had even more NA, you would destabilize a relatively even fight, and jump up and down from T2 every week, like FA did for awhile, or like Maguuma did with T3/T4 for the past few months.

Tl;dr: your NA population is fine, just utilize it better.

To be dreadfully honest, I’ve yet to see mag hold anything without a Zerg to back it.

Mag has the power of numbers and coherency in using team skills, something I wish CD would learn overnight. But Mag needs at least 20 defenders to hold anything. Can’t tell you how many times equal teams have met at towers and after a bit of fun fighting, CD has won. But your zerg strength is beyond anything CD could dream of. I envy it to be honest.

I kinda agree with this with but I am reluctant to generalize based on only my prospective. I have run into very skilled smaller havoc type groups from both CD and MAG. But by far the preferred MAG method seems to be massive unstoppable zergs in response to a threat on one of their keeps or north towers. The massive unstoppable zerg is also implemented in BL take overs. If you have the numbers then why not ? We were accused of exactly the same thing in T5…..that seems like a lifetime ago now o.O.

Even though the times I play (NA Prime time) MAG has the numbers advantage most of the time…sometimes coverage confuses me. Like last night MAG shows up on our BL like a red angry sea hitting keeps/towers and supply camps simultaneously with groups of no less than 20 each and what appeared to be as much as 50-60. When it started we had no where near that and were scrambling all over the map trying to defend. I was convinced we would have to give up the southern keeps to save garrison…But then we rallied, we got more people in map…but still not as many as them…and CD showed up with 30-40+ too.

We sent forces to MAG BL to pressure them there and were successful in taking Bay and some towers …but MAGs numbers seemed to drop dramatically all of a sudden. Was there a server event or did y’all go to CD BL or EB? Because normally we are met with the angry zerg when we touch your stuff…there were some just not as many as usual from my prospective.

Not sure if it was at the same time, but the zerg was walked into our spawn on CD into the SBI Portal(PS. it was amazing to watch a crap ton of players walk into it without a second thought) , then if I remember correctly EK in CD was under attack, so they all went there. What happened after that, no clue.

Maguuma has an addiction, and one man is supplying us. The first image is the normal golem standby. Those despawned so the second picture happened.

You know….it’s kinda a shame that so many free to play games give such a big advantage to those with the larger RL bank accounts….

They’re exaggerating. I get most of my golems from donations. Generally everyone in my guild has at least one or two that they’ve gotten from random drops or from jumping puzzles. At any given time, I probably have 20 golems, and access to guild golems as well.

They’re incredibly effective weapons, probably the best siege if utilized correctly, and guild golems are only slightly more expensive than rams, so there’s really no downside to them.

OK, but it is still a battle of the haves vs the have nots….if we ever have more then 2 golem at one time it is a major golem rush for us…(I think I have seen 5 max at one time since all the big guilds left)

While you guys have havocs with that many….and as many as 20 with your zergs…..20 gold for one rush!? I have never even had 20 gold total at one time! o.O

20g O_o, I never go below 160g. As of right now, I can afford a 32 Omega Rush.

Please note, I do understand the blueprints are important to not get for free. But there’s killing in the JP and basically avoiding a fair fight. They didn’t even chase me, they just waited for me to come back as I thought they were running it. Nope.

I wanted the achievements, not just the blueprints or badges. If I wanted blueprints, I’d buy them. If I wanted badges I’d just do other things like man arrow carts. I just wanted to do the achievements while it looked like everyone else was busy on major fights over the keeps.

So, you wanted a free pass in a WvW Area? CAMP, keep killing him and I shall supply you with a lifetime supply of Bacon, nice crispy bacon.
