In my opinion, Being rooted by 1 h sword is not an issue. It’s just that you should be able to break animation with a dodge

Stealth detection would be a great idea. That’s what they should turn guard into. Make pets reveal stealth aoe!!! Would finally be valuable.

Spamming useless shouts like guard cause of low cool down just to use natures voice is bad!!

Ask them if they think spamming “Guard” for the sole reason of activating natures voice is a good idea?

I think most players think that the protection and even stealth have value but since pets can’t scale walls anymore (lol) I think players don’t care about the sending the pet anywhere.

I’d like to ask if a rework of this utility or any other utility is being considered.

In my opinion, Sickem has merits in an offensive build
Protect me in a defense
I feel these are conceptually sound.

Search and rescue possible in a spvp or pve setting.

I feel guard is not a conceptually sound shout.

I also feel that the ranger shouts were rushed into the game and as they were not in the beta’s. Can you ask if this is true?

The protection alone is the reason to use this skill. It grants your pet 10 seconds of protection. If you use it while your pet is in combat at it current location you pet wont stealth or stealths so quick you cant tell but it will still gain the protection. This protection stacks with other protections gained. I am not sure how this works with bark skin.

If you don’t know what protection does. It reduces incoming damage by 33%. Those of you who rely on your pet for most or all your damage really should consider having this on your bar.

This skill alone can make a big difference on whether your pet lives or dies. Which in turn also affects your dps.

But if thats the sole reason you use it, I’d rather take sig of stone which has 6 sec invuln. Perhaps if Fortifying Bond worked both ways, I’d see more use.

Furthermore it is extremely rare I find a player that would attack my pet and the only damage they would take would be via a cleave or if i use “protect me”

Thus I find this only usable in PvE when I am trolling in a dungeon / farming

For those who say use with traps, this is possibly the only good time to use this skill, but id rather just have a 3rd trap and then send the pet on them with F1 when they trigger. But that is my opinion

For those who suggest use it for the stealth factor, why would i bother……that’s not enough to surprise anybody. Id rather lay traps which lay longer.

And who wants protection for the pet…..any non npc will just target you.
Furthermore, the pet needs protection when in stealth? When it is stealth it is hidden and not taking damage. It doesnt need no dam protection

Seriously give me some ideas because I have none.

Should be in a serious setting, not a joke one.

It use to be fun to send pets up walls but this obviously was not the intention of the skill.

So if you have any creative ideas. I’d love to hear them.

I guess I’m also wondering what the intention of this skill was suppose to be by the designers, when I can already send pets where I want them with the attack/retreat function. If I wanted, I could also give my pet protection via rolling / more defense with signet of stone and signet of wild.
