Top-of-my-head temporary fix, just put a cap on the number who can go through before it collapses. If you set it to 5, you can still use it for PvE and PvP with a full party.
Good idea indeed!
But unfortunately we have one mesmer in every constant group for support reasons. So I doubt this will stop forum whining, especially when enemies will port into zerg from 10 portals instead of one, more effectively cutting retreat paths

I don’t know what you have noticed or not, but any normal human will notice that I have turned on my Plague and rushed into “possible location” of gate bashing walking-loot-bags, leaving my group and rest of the income behind. “Mesmer portal isnt visible” – because it’s behind of me you silly.
I’m not surprised that players from wartower.de are blinded by rage because they are losing to FS again (fourth time in the row iirc?). But their false accusations are really childish.

Yes i hate those players too who try to get advantage. Real warriors stand in line and spam auto attack.

And we have the same load lag when we move in the middle of the zerg.
So what do you implying? That suffering from the same issue, we have only one advantage left – advantage of sudden attack, which can be easily mitigated with scouts (and our whining enemies from Riverside dont have any). RS should at least learn from Vizunah – they have good scouting and probably server wide voice comms for coordination (and also good portal skills and counters).

You can see four enemy “names”(not even fully rendered), while there were at least 20 [Nug] players.
You can see most of our raid death or downed, while we barely can see anyone of them. And now think about it, how long it takes to kill a player+ his additional health bar during his downed state. 10 of our players are death, while 4 of their players are partly visible( just the “far shiverpeaks” above their heads, not even the character models)The small lags for the exploiting side are negligible, because we cant see anyone of them for 10+ seconds. And the big difference is. Our character models are fully loaded, so they can see us from the beginning, while their character models are appearing bit by bit.
Stop this useless butthurting already and man up.
We have the same issues with rendering every single kitten time. Why we are winning? Because we are heavy relying on our scouts, and your brainless Riverside zerg never ever trying to move away if they see a mesmer scout incoming (I’m not even saying about “noticing” 40 ppl group incomes – everybody bashing gates then dying, no scouts).

Wow! This thread has a LOT of people who must have trouble reading.
The problem isn’t with mesmer portal but with the rendering mechanics. So a zerg comes through but doesn’t render and you are dead from zerg AOE before they are unculled.
Guess what, when we push and actually kill your brainless PUG we also didn’t see you because of the same rendering issue.
Then why you die, and we are alive? Because we use scouts and coordinated voice communications, and you only dying under keep gates, without even trying to play smart.

So much rage in one post. So disappointing…
It’s common trick to comment opponents post with random repplies like “nice rage”, “moar crying” etc when you actually have nothing to say.
On the other hand butthurt posts on jeuxonline is more than enjoyable and really shows how desperate you guys are.
I hope that now when Quebec students sorted out their problems and get back to study, and VS randoms will move to MoP, we will have more balanced fights.
Its funny how VS players desperately trying to fix their ruined reputation of PVE nightcappers. After first lost weekend jeuxonline was totally butthurted (“we lost but its because FS allied with Desolation for sure!!11”).
On second weekend when it was obvious there is no alliance, they generated new rumor about “commander bug” (oh this doesn’t explain why VS got owned on maps where FS guilds even dont have commanders, but VS whiners dont care).
Now after third predicted loss they whine about mythic flying speedhacks and orb bugs (while normal people REPORT hackers if they see them, not whine on forums).
So after we (10 people from GF) took Shadaran from 30 VS defenders, and lost him again to 60+ nightcappers we went sleep before work. Now you can PVE peacefully all night long as you always do.
See ya next weekend and dont forget to prepare new excuses and new patches for your ragged pride.
Results after hour of nightcappers active PVEing with gates just to show one more time how ridiculously lame they are

FS decided that it would be too cruel to prevent you guys from last PVE night in this week. So we ended events for tonight – you can safely fight Gates and upgrade keeps.
Also join us for next three days of non-stop 3W. Don’t forget to have in inventory your ana fire extinguishers and please supply more tasty loot bags :b

So it seems there is no point in arguing with our VS “mmo-pro’s”. It’s pretty obvious that they are enjoying this situation and night shifting PVE is just their playstyle.
Clown reputation is still reputation, guys. GW2 community will remember you as such.

This thread not about raging, but merely about disgust we have to experience playing on the same server with you guys. Usually pvp’ers dont expect that pve players will dominate in 3W mode and then they will push it as “pure and fair victory”.

Man up and take victory with your own claws and teeths, not by making alliance with weaker server just to grow another enemy.
Anyways 90% of it is achieved by man vs. dooring at nights. It’s basically a joke.
Looking at how forcefully Troma and other people from VS hardcore PVP guilds justifying their wins in Players vs Gates it’s clear enough that they just tired from normal PVP and want to dominate trough PVE. I wonder if they will honorably hold their already earned badge “Night shift PVE conquerors” in future PVP games? Did they want to be remembered as “those guys with canadians, doing all work while enemies are sleeping”?
GW2 is a status game. And alliances here gain respect and disrespect according to their wins and actions. ATM VS alliances gaining negative karma just as fast as they gain their nightshift points.
Of course, some can say “haters gonna hate”. But there is a huge difference between types of hate. One thing if hate comes from strategic wins and really strong direct pvp confrontation (which we didnt saw this weekend from VS, honestly), and the other thing if hate comes from disgust, because someone have to face cowards that play PVE in the nights and every morning you need to start from cleaning those Augean stables on the maps.

Sure you didn’t cried. Because FS dont have any players from non-EU timezones and you understand this pretty well. We had 48 hours of 3W event and only people from EU participated on FS. In the battle “EU vs EU” you lost.
“We won until saturday morning when french go to bed” – oh that’s interesting. So who’s playing at nights if “french players are in bed”? “There is no canadians” or you guys just lost in your lies?

Well we already know we are more skilled then VS, we prooved that this weekend when numbers were equal even during nighttime.
I have no problem loosing the “war” because I know why we are loosing and it´s not because they are better players.

I looks like they like to play Players versus Gates version of WvWvW not Players versus Players. So let them enjoy themselves in the night shifts – that the only chance they have to win and it would be cruel to take this away.
There is no need to do something from ArenaNet side – if one particular server want to gain dishonor (and they already gained it as we all seen) – it’s their choice.
Far Shiverpeak will overcome by skill and organization, not by using canadians , unemployed or martians.

Well dude, put us, Grand Cross alliance, on a server without queuing issue and, I swear, we would be the happiest people in the world but you also would face our entire alliance forces and I don’t think you’ll win to the change. ;-)
So Grand Cross probably have backup plan to entertain their fellow hardcore pvp players in case there will be no future resistance from other servers, because people will lose their interest after month of sisyphean fights with nightshifters. Hardcore PVE in enemy warcamps? Mass evening dancing at Stonemist Castle?
And what is your excuse for the rest of the day ? Why can’t you capture your positions back ?
Don’t play dumb – capturing and upgrading keeps and towers when there is competition and capturing them with no resistance and applying “night shift” upgrades – not the same thing. In the night you dont need to spend resources to repair stuff, or protect dolyaks – there is no resistance and you can freely upgrade your keeps and build sieges.
Or you dont upgrade your fortresses in the night to get advantage in the evening?

I just popped to say that, hey, it’s 4 am here, and I’m still playing. I’m not canadian, but I just capped like… all your points !
Community of serious “pro-pvp” players of VS probably have so much fun fighting empty keeps and castle doors with no resistance. Why you guys even playing in “normal PVP” in the evenings with secured pool of 50-60k points each day?
For us (member of GF here) VS is a good and interesting enemy (can’t say so about Desolation/Riverside – they have less organized forces atm). But let’s be honest – we don’t have resources to fight hordes of unemployed players 24/7 during the all week. We will have CTA events for sure with predicted results for VS (like your hopeless loss on Saturday) just to put you from skies back to the ground, but for the rest of the time you can enjoy your stay and have fun with empty night maps.
On the other hand, Anet should hurry to fix some design flaws, because after some time players on “servers with lifers” will just drop WvWvW participation completely.
Vizunah Square, ask yourself: do you really want to play this game without interesting WvWvW? Will you transfer to NA servers to have matchups with other 24/7 servers after few months of “interesting night shift domination against empty worlds”? How many of your serious players and daoc veterans will drop GW2 after month with constant row of unsatisfactory victories?
