I’ve had good luck getting crystals from silver chests. sitting on around 6 now after making my PvP Seer armor. only rank 13 btw. might be RNG but it seems like each tier of chest drops the different rares. silver should be for Crystals

I just go 20 Dom, 20 chaos, and 30 illusion. works great for me as cond. spec.

Fix the botting, obviously.

PvE camps in WvW are fine though. DAoC did it great, it gave small groups of 2-4 people something to do for fun and netted better pve rewards than regular pve. that also made it easier for other small pvp groups to have skirmishes which GW2 WvW seriously lacks.

yeah, I keep wanting to try the fotm sword/pistol setup…but it just seems gimicky to me. after you do your stun/leap/immobile/flurry it seems all tapped out. with
G/S and staff I ususally open with MB to get a clone at the target for aggro, pop zerker and a spike, swap to staff and pop warlock, after warlock fires I usually just mind wrack and start running to the next mob or group. low CDs, good damage and thats not even using everything there is to offer in those 2 kits

I’m only level 47 but since around level 30 I’ve been running GS and staff. traits are heavy on phantasm damage. I have no problems soloing or even doing most events solo (besides the few champion mobs shudder).

Even tried in in sPVP and it seems to work pretty good. gotta be on your toes but it seems like a valid setup. II’m running feedback/mirror images/Decoy as my utilities. might swap those around some but they work out alright so far.

Just figured I’d post on here and say I love my Mesmer. Super fun playstyle and mechanics.
