AC explorable NPCs still bugging out. :(

I have had like 3 runs of AC already where the respective NPC just turned non-interactable and we couldn’t progress the dungeon.
This has happened in all paths and the bug has been there since the release of the game.
It seems to be related to the NPCs dying during the defense event.

Just had to abort a dungeon run of CM because of severe lag issues. lagging 20s behind, pretty much the worst lag I have ever encountered in an MMO (And I play EVE).

Ally targetted spells going off on NPCs - why is this even in?

I’m an elementalist and I roll with the Glyph of Renewal. It’s pretty frustrating to have your rez go on a random useless NPC instead of your buddy that you wanted to rez.

Why is this even in? I’m just hoping it’s a bug.

Token number - Not getting 60 for every first path

Diminished Returns system.

Shouldn’t this system only work if you are doing the same path over and over again?
Whats the point in doing a new path, if you still get less rewards?

Pretty sure the patch notes stated exactly that. No idea what is up with Robert’s response.

Pre-Patch tokens are not account bound.

I am on my elementalist right now, looking at the tokens my warrior got before the patch.
Can’t drag them into my inventory, even though it says “account bound” in the tooltip.

Personally I think it’s perfect how it is. I don’t want to use the word “grind-fest”, but I do like the idea that to get this armor, the very armor that is the best of the best by the way, through a long trek. I always hate being able to get the awesome-est gear one day in, it just feels like it dis-values it for me.

Anyway, that was my two cents.

If just the simple time you put into the act of getting your outfit is what puts value into it, I would probably re-think how I value stuff if I were you.

That’s not where the effort lies. The effort of getting your equipment is on one hand picking a combination that looks both good and different enough, on the other hand beating the corresponding content. That second point does not mean “beating the content and then doing it another 50 times even though you already have everything figured out and there is literally almost no real challenge left”.

And not doing it is unfair to the game because it makes one of the more repeatable content types feel like more of a grind than it needs to. We weren’t going to release a perfect game, and can’t let things live this stop us from improving the experience for the majority of the players.

Jon

I guess you are already taking it into consideration, but this would make the legendary mats even easier to obtain than they are already. 500 tokens are comparatively easy to get, if you compare it to a gift that takes 1000 t6 mats for example.

Also, I would like to speak for lowering prices instead of increasing payout.
Whatever out of the two options you choose, you are going to have some people say “This is unfair!”, either because they already ran some dungeons or because they already spent some tokens on gear.
Now, there are two advantages to lowering the prices instead of increasing dungeon payout.

First, the group of people that have already run dungeons is larger than the group of people that have already spent some tokens on gear. Since you currently need at least 2 run throughs of every path worth of tokens to purchase equipment, everyone who has only done all 3 paths of a dungeon once to check it out will not have been able to purchase anything. I think a lot of players only went into the dungeons paths once to see what they were like, certainly more than those who already farmed a significant amount of tokens. Therefore, less players will be badly affected if you lower the prices on equipment.

The second point is that you have to consider how information about future changes forms player behavior. If people know that dungeon prices will be lowered, this will not change anything about their actual gameplay behavior. It will still be possible to run dungeons like normal, because the gameplay content is left untouched. The only thing people won’t do is turn in their tokens until the patch. If you give rough estimates of post-patch prices, this might even already fix the feeling of grind pre-patch. Players could just do their usual dungeon runs but wouldn’t have to do quite as many. Only thing left would be to wait for the patch.
If people know that dungeon rewards will be raised, on the other hand, many will probably feel like they should wait until the patch to run any more dungeons, since that patch will alter the actual gameplay content to their favor. So this will likely make finding groups for dungeons even harder than it already is, noone likes to feel like he is missing out, after all.

IMO, if you just lower the armor/weapon prices and leave payouts untouched, that will ease the grind for exotic equipment but also put a more notable and appropiate gap between normal dungeon stuff and the legendary gift.

Downscaling Proposal

All the event completion rewards are scaled up if you are Level 80. I am pretty sure events in Level 1 areas don’t normally give a couple thousand XP and 200 Karma, as that would mean at least a couple of level ups from just one event.

Please have the dodge command be at the very top of the food chain.
It’s so very annoying to be rezzing a team mate in clutch moments, then be unable to dodge because the revive apparently overrides your dodge command until you cancel it via moving.

There are loads of dungeon bosses that do big delayed AoE bursts where you can try to get your buddy back up just in time to dodge. Unfortunately, you are completely screwed by the game itself if you start rezzing too late, because it doesn’t let you cancel the rez quickly and easily.

OMG but you do it for the fun!

Telegraphing Mechanics

The rangers in ac throw a ball to where the trap is gonna be.
That golem in CM has the same animation every golem has for skills like that.

But my opinion is basically just that your examples were bad, there are sadly still quite a lot of badly telegraphed attacks in the game, particularly basic attacks. These can kill a melee in 3-4 hits and are often not obvious enough to not be occluded by spell effects in certain situations (If you have a party that likes flashy spells).

This is not acceptable. (Missing voiceover)

So, I’m getting kinda turned off from the later parts of the game because of all the bugged events in Orr and stuff, decide to start playing a new character.

This time around, it’s going to be a Sylvari and I’m gonna pick the Shield of the Moon storyline. So far, so good.

Now I have pretty much completed that part of the story and feel cheated, this really felt like playing a paid beta test. Around a third of all the dialogue during this storyline just isn’t voiced! There hasn’t been a single personal story step without at least 2 or 3 lines that weren’t voiced at all. You might think that is exaggerated, but it really isn’t, go see for yourself.

So yeah, I already submitted a bug report but figured I would post on here because an error like this is a huge deal and needs all the awareness it can get.

[Achievement] "Been there, done that" not correctly awarding?

There seem to be 2 different counters here. The one you see in the top left of the screen counts all poi’s, hearts, vistas, etc. from the entire PvE map and the entire WvW map. The counter in the achievement and on the character loading screen however seems ( I do not know this for sure) to be linked to the amount of areas discovered, and thus to the ‘Krytan Explorer’, ‘Orr Explorer’, etc. achievements right above them.

If this is so, I would appreciate it if there were to be a way to find where you were still missing those undiscovered areas. Currently I am missing 4 in Kryta but I cannot find where they are as I do have 100% map completion accross PvE.

Yeah, that might be the case. If it is, I agree with you and there should be some way to see where you’re still missing areas.

I got to 100% World Completion on a character and even managed to get the item rewards inside the game.
Still, it shows only 97% at the achievement screen. Does this achievement refer to another type of completion or is it simply bugged? It seems like the latter.
