Currently sitting on 2400g, but max I’ve had is 3000g.

I didn’t farm this amount, buy any gold or manipulate markets (I did flip rares occasionally though)… I slowly made a legendary just through playing and minimal to no grinding then sold it for 3400 on trading post.\

Currently in process of rebuying all materials for another legendary (about 1k gold) which’ll leave me 1.4k which is still more money than I’ll probably ever need.

I’m not really sure who is willing to spend 3k+ on a legendary, I don’t value them more than 2k, but I must thank whoever did. Gold was by far the hardest part to make a legendary and I sold it for 3x the gold cost. I nearly have the extra karma to make myself another without having to farm, this one I won’t be selling though!

This jumple puzzle is simple… especially compared to halloween, took me 3 tries.

What they did those is reduce the reward, you barely get anything (which is fine I had fun). So if you don’t want to do it, don’t do it. It’s completely optional.

Some of us really enjoy them. I wish it was as hard as mad king and look forward to harder ones in the future.

I feel there should be an achievement for unlocking dyes on a character.

Could even reward a title like “Over the rainbow” or “Colorful” (or something else someone much more creative than me could think of)

In Australia, we will be able to do the Friday (our Saturday) and Saturday (our sunday) stuff. But the big finale is … Sunday YAY for us (Monday 6am), same with the Halloween event and all of the beta events. So unless I take holidays for an event (unless I was a game addicted freak without a job and live on the doll) I have to youtube them.

Event start: Saturday sometime. Event end Saturday the next week, 2 one time events where most people can still got to them

1 time events are in fact, 2 time events where people who did the first one (from start to finish) cant re-participate.

Actually I believe it’s 7am now instead of 6am since the US lost daylight savings, but your point still stands.

Short answer is probably No. Let me explain.

Obviously in the long run, the price will rise as there is a finite supply. Here’s the thing though, lots, and by lots I mean seriously large amount, of people have already thought of this and I expect have quite a few stored hoping to make a quick buck.

The problem is, most people who actually want the skin probably already went out and purchased one. So now we have a situation where we will have lots of supply and little demand, and the demand isn’t likely to increase much.

Sure there will be a few new players looking at getting a ‘rare’ skin so some will be sold, but there are going to be plenty of other skins to acquire. Christmas is 6 weeks away, I’m sure that’ll bring a bunch of skins, and hell in a couple of days a major content is about to be released which is likely to introduce some new cool looking armor.

So I just don’t think it’s a great short term investment. Give it 6 months and you’ll probably earn a nice profit. You could think really long term, and make a killing but this only works if they don’t re-release the same skins again next year Halloween completely resetting the market.

This has happened on occasion to me for a while, but is becoming more frequent as of late where I get 0 credit for capping points in WvW, specifically even when standing inside the circle to capture.

I just spent 15min assaulting SM, killing, ressing a large amount of people then stood inside the cap circle for the whole duration and got 0 credit. Not even bronze, it’s extremely frustrating considering the karma reward for capturing SM.

This is not the first time it’s happened, for example two days ago I helped cap red keep near entrance and got no credit either even though I stood inside circle for full cap.

Have the same issue.

Friend has the same issue his authenticator appears attached but it doesn’t appear when logging in. He also can’t remove it.

I personally have no problem with mine though.

If you don’t like wvw, spvp, completing all dungeons, or have the motivation to farm a legendary, not much.

That’s fine., you don’t have to play gw2 religiously. If there is nothing that you enjoy doing just take a break, play something else and when something new is out hopefully you come back and play again. You’re not suddenly going to be undergeared.

Looks like IoJ has finally come out to play. Might take half a day for SoS to come back out in full force, but hopefully we can get some good skirmishes for rest of week going. Hopefully this is a preview of what next week might bring. It’s hell boring owning 100%…

I’m not in eternal atm, (it actually has a queue for first time since weekend I think) but you guys (IoJ) are somehow pushing us (SoS) back on 2 fronts at once. Curious what’s going on!

1st run – 3 man
2 of us got exotics.

2nd run – 5 man
1 of us who was in first run got exotic
1 of us who was in first run got exotic recipe
1-2 new people got exotics (were randoms cant check)

3rd run – 5man
No one got exotics

4th run – 5 man
No exotics, even for 3 newcomers

The chest seems to drop exotics very frequently, 1 exotic first run, exotic recipe 2nd.

People I did it with all got at least 1 exotic after 2 runs. Going in for 3rd now.

amazing event for a seasonal, unfortunate to the people who’ve had issues though.

Can someone confirm this for me, but everytime I convert 12 pacific (-7) or 19 gmt to Australian eastern daylight time (nsw/vic) it comes up as 6am, not 5 that I keep seeing thrown around forums.

I hit the face 5 times before I finally figured it out and have done it 6 times in a rows since. Just jump really early.

It felt like a ping issue (I’m Australian) because sometimes I cleared hit the face and still didn’t make it.

I do feel enlarging the area that’ll portal you in would be a positive thing, apart from that the puzzle was great.

It’s extremely fun and challenging. While first try took me around an hour, I’ve now beaten it 7 times on different characters each within 2 attempts, I love it.

No ones forcing you to do it if you don’t enjoy it, you’re not being disadvantaged.

Got 10 then DC’d, got 11 just then and DC’d again. Fun times

Downloading at a steady 200kb/s. Seems a pretty big patch

Server time is 8:17. They have just under 4 hours to release it, relax. Something obviously hasn’t gone exactly to plan and I’m sure they’re doing everything they can to get it out on time.

Currently 94g, I have a lot of gems though.

I have probably farmed a combined total of 2hours of my 500 hours played, I make 5-15g a day from trading post from 15-60 minutes of work.

When servers go down for update/reset, dungeons are given 4 hours instead of the usual 3 min before they are kicked out. Plenty of time to finish it.

You obviously haven’t played GW much…

They have the best record for the shortest downtimes of ANY MMO in history. Don’t quote my exact number but in 6 years of GW1 their servers were down for 39 mins total over the entire life of the game.

While you have a valid point on downtime your number is slightly off. It’s around 32hours, from the old official FAQ.

Guild Wars 2 should expect to have the same amount of down time that Guild Wars 1 has had (which is about 32 hours total give or take a few)

That said I believe that was before the emergency mait they had to perform a few months ago which would add up to another 24 hours mait. Still an amazing statistic.

Good guide. You should look at adding parts to the wiki, it’s very lacking at the moment.

You won’t be getting a refund, but I’m pretty sure you can turn off commander.

That said, I hope they refund everyone and rework the commander system.

Sometimes upon loading in WvW the Map will continue to show the world map and not WvW map. This in turn makes it impossible to revive upon death which means you will have to wait in 3 hour queue again.

This has only happened to me only once and it was before patch so I don’t believe it’s a new issue, unless it’s occurring more frequently to some people since the patch, but I haven’t seen it.

Yes, you get charged 5% to list and 10% when sold. So you effectively get 85% of what you list the item for.

They posted a while back (could have been as far back as bwe2/3) that the warrior was the only class the development team were completely happy with. If this is still the case, they might just use the warrior as the baseline class and buff/nerf everything around it.

Going to laugh when HoD continues to have same results due to population.

There were very few, if any WvW groups that were run this week by TA. Most WvW were led by random commanders and HOD still did extremely well.

ET won’t be in T1 because SB is currently losing to JQ. HoD is still in first.

SBI are only 3 points ahead of JQ, practically evenly ranked.
SBI are losing quite badly this week (hod 231k, JQ 184k, SBI 139k).
Based off previous weeks I expect SBI to lose around 25-30 points

I’m unsure what ET is winning by, but they’re currently 60 points behind SBI.
Last week JQ gained 58 points winning in T2. ET would only need to gain 30-35 points to knock SBI out of T1 and take their place, which I expect to happen.

I look forward to next week assuming this is the case.

Most of HOD is not that bad. Unfortunately due to our current standing we have acquired a large amount of tools.

The arrogance and complaining (especially when we were actually losing) of some people in /map/team chat at times is quite disgusting though.

I’ve found tanky theives to be much more scary than the current trend of massive burst which can be easily countered with blink/decoy. Thankfully the are quite rare, at least for the moment.

Toughness is much better for dungeons as it improves your sustainability whereas vitality is good for stopping burst damage (hence it’s great in pvp).

Happened to me a few times in WvW. Since I have 1-5hour queues I just go into windows mixer options (bottom right corner of task bar) and manually set GW2 to 0 volume. You won’t have any game sound at all but at least the wooing will stop. Just put some music on and it’s no big deal.

Think you’re slightly exagerating the hugeness of this bug but I did have this happen to me today when put runes in my new set.

In WvW/pve so it’s not just limited to pvp. You don’t get double bonus though so just tooltip bug

power + precision + crit damage = phant build
precision + toughness + condition = shatter build
power + vit + condition = standard condition build

If you want pve aoe, go shatter build. Mesmer can kill # mobs at once in seconds.

To elaborate a 3 stack Mind Wrack + 3 stack Cry of Frustration will pretty much instant aoe kill any sized pack of normal mobs.

If anything happens to be still alive chuck a Blurred Frenzy. You can easily farm 6+ mobs at once doing this.

I find pvp aoe more depressing than pve.

I think you just got very unlucky. Not being able to download shouldn’t have anything to do with your graphic card drivers. They probably were in middle of releasing a content update and I think you probably started trying to login just as they were pushing the update out which just coincided with you updating your drivers.

This is actually a big problem. I can understand why they made it so certain karma vendor items can’t be salvage to stop gold conversion, but at least let us take out the runes from them.

Out of interest do transmutation stones transfer runes, if so can you transmute to get them out?
