Same here, though I only tried to buy 2.

This was already data mined a little while ago, though obviously it is subject to change.

It was 170 for all skills, and another 80 for the last 2 elite specific items
i.e. 250 all up, but 170 to be completely playable.

Hmm that was the exact build I’ve been running except the well heal. Will try with well heal as it makes a lot of sense.

There appears to be a few posts about TP issues at the moment, but this is about specific odd UI issues with appearance on the TP. None of it is really super important, more minor annoyances.

1. In the filter options, the level range buttons are misaligned for me.

2. Sometimes when selecting an item in the list to purchase, when I come back to the list the ordering has moved. Not a big deal does make keeping track of what I’ve placed orders on already a bit more tedious.

hot is adding 4 new maps and I suspect that’s where most of the action will be. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if the current zones have changes/events at some point etc.

Exact same client, in fact the beta takes place in the live world.

If you have prepurchased HOT, you should get the option to make a ‘beta character’ in the character creation screen. These characters have a copy of your account (so your gold etc) on creation but after this can not affect your account in anyway (gain achievements, gain/lose gold etc).

The characters are also limited in the sense they can’t use TP, join guilds etc as well.

Can’t load game since updating to latest patch, soon as I start gw2 and hit play game crashes to desktop.

Anyone else experiencing a similar issue?

after having a check through the trace, appears that it was likely I was running out of memory (currently playing on a tablet away from home), so I closed all my work apps and it seems to work fine.

The nerfs seem quite reasonable (though I’m a little sad about alacrity) and not over the top considering some of the kitten we could pull.

Especially Chronophantasma which I was thinking during the beta needed a 2s daze, so I’m happy to only see 1.5s rather than other nerf (ICD etc).

I did the 100 tries on the day of the release

After 91 tries, I was ~2k gold down, 500 ectos down
in the last 9 tries I turned my luck around significantly and
After 100 tries, I was 100g up, 4000 ectos up ~1500g profit

I stopped there happy and won’t be trying again

What time zone do you play? That may have something to do with your perspective.

I’m Australian, but half my play time would be during US (work from home so tend to get a little distracted’)

T1 is nothing like T2 lol. Don’t knock it till you try it. Saying you played on every tier except T1.. then tell T1 wvw guild leader what applies to T1 is rubbish LOL.

What? That doesn’t even make sense. Most of the servers in the list I’ve linked have been T1 (all except MAG and DB I think?), and the majority of my WvW time has been spent on JQ and TC, with the rest having around 1-3month stints.

Except for transferring off HOD after it died a bit after launch, the times I’ve gone to lower tiers was because I transferred with a guild (for example with Emperium from JQ to DB) and I was always surprised at the quality of lower tier guilds that we played with.

I transfer for a change and different experiences, because it’s a nice not always playing on the server with the largest wvw coverage; you should try it sometime.

No.. We were map hopping from BGBL, TCBL, and EBG on reset night this week. It is about how you play. All of T1 is covered. ALL of T1 has population, we actually have less ques than most other top servers. LOL

You can have map que, but if it is full of people who will not work together, run proper builds and classes you are going to get face rolled.

Having played on a large majority of servers except BG (JQ, TC, HOD, SOS, MAG, SOR, DB) with a range of popular WvW guilds I can tell you that is pretty much complete rubbish.

I found nearly every server has ended up being very similar. Even T2/T3 servers tend to only be at worse a month behind meta or strategy changes in T1. Sure there is the occasional small guild group that does better than average, but when it comes down to it, who wins is 99% determined by coverage.

Also I’m doubtful, but hey I haven’t checked in a little while, so maybe JQ now does now have slightly lower population at reset but if they on average have +20 people throughout the opposite half of day their overall coverage is still higher. WvW rarely comes down to winning fights. It doesn’t really matter if your 30 man zerg beat another 30 man zerg, when another small group is just capping your towers in another map.

The occasional weeks where for instance TC wins T1 is usually when commanders get together decide to put in extra effort throughout a week and get more people in. I assume BG is similar but like I said above, it’s the only server I haven’t been on.

The other funny thing about every server is they all kitten about the same things. Every server often complains about the other 2 servers ganging up on them or that the zerg they’re facing is always larger than them (often when in fact it’s a similar size or even smaller). Every server also loves patting itself on their back after a victory in a fight, complaining their the best and their opponents are bad.

People need to get over themselves a little. You’re just like everyone else.

Anyway @OP, if you’re on a T1 server already (i.e JQ) you should probably just stay there. Personally in my travels I find that overall they’re a more enjoyable experience.

To be honest, your system should run the game outside of WvW and World bosses at 60fps fine unless you are running a ridiculous res (4k+).

I’m not really sure why it wouldn’t except for other services/applications taking up resources or not having updated drivers.

I actually don’t run any condition removal (and historically the standard spvp shatter build doesn’t either). I rely on avoiding conditions, clones and stealth to soak damage and if this fails, disengaging if I happen to catch a bunch.

That said, I’d use mantra of resolve (instead of portal) if they were up against a heavy condition lineup.

Because time warp is our glamour elite, and the way the new spell system works they want/need an even distribution of spells in categories

I had no issues with the gliders on beta as an Australian player (melbourne) but holy cow are the dry top + race crystals annoying, especially the purple. Some days I couldn’t land anywhere near where I wanted and would constantly fall to my death.

Jump pads are often kittened as well.

I’m near certain in one of the earlier interviews or discussion they said they were looking at putting it on rotation or something at some point. I’d find a source but I’m lying in bed reading on my phone about to sleep. I’m sure someone else remembers reading this though.

You’d need to purchase a copy of HoT for each account.

I can’t remember how I got my first 80, probably just a random mob. But it was really early, either still during early access or day of launch and soon after an ArenaNet staff happened to come up to me and congratulated me on getting 80 and asked to pose for a picture. So that was pretty memorable.

this happens in wvw, i dont know of any mobs that immob in pve.

Lots of mobs immob in pve, particularly spiders.

I haven’t levelled up on mesmer since I hit 80 1 day after launch so I can’t relate to that.

Also I only WvW so these cases are from in there.

I may actually have transformed just before being downed, I can’t remember I’ll go test.

Transforms definitely didn’t get rid of a mantra pre-patch though.

Since feature patch, if running with Harmonious Mantra trait and you get downed and get back up, you lose a charge (3->2) on your mantras. Quite annoying.

I’m pretty there is at least 1 other case where this happens but I haven’t been able to pin-point it.

Found another, using a tonic then coming back out causes you to lose a charge (3->2)

So I can probably assume any transformation causes it.

The downed one might not be true, I may have transformed just before being downed, I don’t remember. Will test in a little.

I haven’t figured out what is causing the problem but there is a fix:

Create a shortcut to gw2.exe
Then change the target field to: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” /clientport 80

You hardly need special events or scrolls to level fast.
I got level 80 at launch in 3 days (no crafting) [on a mesmer as well!]
Even had an anet dev congratulate and pose with me.

I still play the same character as I’m not a fan of alts, though I do look a bit more stylish now!

Just message support, what do you gain from posting on forums. They’ll either do it for you or they won’t, you’ll find out soon enough.

Since patch it now keeps ticking to 1 then resetting to 0.

It won’t go that high. The demand just isn’t there as the back pieces require less orich ingots than iron etc. Compare the spikes for iron vs orichalcum which only spiked 25%.

This just sounds like a blatant attempt to push price higher to profit.

While I’m playing red this week so I can’t really comment on the difficulty of our lord, I can say that Blue keep lord is much harder to kill than green. Green keep lord is very weak while blue does quite a bit of damage.

That said it doesn’t matter. EOTM is meant to be a test zone, it’s not meant to be symmetrical and I assume this is exactly the type of thing they want to test. Having different difficulty keep lords can give anet great feedback on the effect it has on capping.

nah, without going into it that exploit required dropping items on ground hence it only worked with siege.

Are you sure that GW Trade can differentiate between a buy order being filled and a buy order being taken off?

Could have been someone having lots of buy orders open and taking them all off simultaneously.

GW Trade can’t distinguish between orders filled and orders cancelled, but some people have already come forth saying their order was filled.

Also it makes no sense for a single person to have 10+ orders of the same precursor spread over a range of 150g, they’re just outbidding themselves UNLESS it was done automatically (i.e. a bot). Also those orders add up to over 25,000g.

I’m near certain all the orders were filled, why though is the question.

Could be any number of reasons, completely legitimate as well. For instance maybe just an old rich player who foresaw precursor prices rising and purchased a bunch near launch or after karka event.

The curious thing is, something similar happened a week ago as well.

While I don’t think it’s probably anything malicious, I made the post just incase there was some exploit and so that anet would investigate just in case.

Of course the sell price didn’t drop if it was a sell off. If you want to get rid of a bunch of low volume items you don’t suddenly list all of them for just 1g less and hope someone buys them out. You either have to get rid of them over time or dump them into offers.

1 person isn’t going to have 10 consecutive bids on the same item.

A large portion of the precursors just tanked in price all at the same time. Was something announced that caused a speculation sell off?

Nope, the difference between now and the last time ectos were 18s is that they now produce essence (and dust ). If they drop much more than their current price they’ll become most cost efficient AND fastest way to increase your MF. I can’t see ectos ever dropping below 26s unless dust becomes overly abundant.

Ectos average around 106-110 luck per salvage (based on my own 87 ecto salvage, and someone on reddit salvaging 250)
From Gery result blue items average about 4.7 per salvage.

I’ve salvaged about 4000 green items and they give more than blue but i didn’t record my results.

I’m at 53% and it takes 720 luck to raise it more.

If it keeps going at that rate it will probably be well over 3000 luck to level in the 200% range. I imagine getting to 300% mf will take quite a while.

Just want to point something out, no one will get 300% mf anytime soon. The amount required goes up exponentially. If estimated maths is correct on reddit it’d cost 12k gold using ectos to get 300%. Let’s call that an upper bound though, but it’s going to be costly anyway. It may be a few k cheaper to use greens but the amount of time it’d take would be ridiculous salvaging them all. Once you break about 80% it really isn’t worth the gold cost to get more. (I’m around 90% atm)

The recipe is simply to combine them into the higher forms so you don’t have to spam click so much to use them. You don’t gain or lose any luck from doing this.

The funny thing is, I run greatsword mesmer but when in WvW I switch my major trait so that glamour causes confusion just to tag everything. My ~150 confusion damage causes fear to all.

From my experience, you can put up around 10 items/minute. If you stay below this rate you won’t run into the problem.

It’s annoying because normal users regularly hit the cap.

That’s not cool, but lumping the whole server in under the actions of 1 guy is hardly fair.

I wasn’t in there long (10min) but when I first entered there was no queue, supposedly though a queue formed during that time so I’d say numbers were pretty matched. Looking at map it seems they ended up holding it off quite well.

This is not looking good for us. Congrats to those in sor/bg who just finished world completion!

Bit sick of this to be honest. After standing in the circle, killing players, killing lord and an epic 30min fight then getting no credit for capturing the objective.

It has happened so much I’ve probably had 2 wvw levels, 6+ skill points and 100k karma taken from me…

It happens most when capping bay but it seems to happen at nearly every cap in normal borderlands (don’t EB much so can’t say if it happens there).

We (jq) just got so lucky with that shutdown. Both bg/sor were inside our bay/garri at the same time.

I made bolt which I’m making it again for myself. I’m a mesmer and don’t think the greatswords suit the class to well, I prefer vision of the mists and I also didn’t want to be restricted to GS only since I enjoy shatter build as well.

I didn’t intend to sell it, and if I had made it 2 weeks earlier before you could I wouldn’t have but I couldn’t pass up opportunity to sell for 3x the gold cost when I found that to be by far the hardest part to acquire.

Max gold I had before selling legendary was 400g I got from selling dusk, which I bought for 180g after the lost shores event and the mass price drop. I had to sell pretty much everything I had to purchase this but it was a good investment, paid for my charged lodestones.

As for me, I’m about to finish juggernaut and simply won’t sell it since I don’t feel like going through a 200sp grind or 1m karma again, yikes, that hurts me more than anything. (can farm sufficient gold in 2~3 weeks)

Nothing really, it’d be a really easy way to make large amounts of gold but I can’t be bothered to world complete another alt (even though it’s quick), let alone grind karma per weapon. I don’t like grinding which is why I’ve done pretty much none, all my karma came from WvW and dailies which worked out to be enough just due to play time without having to grind orr at all.

Also like I said, don’t really need gold for anything. The only thing I could possibly spend it on would be to fully deck my char with 3 legendary’s but don’t care enough and love the look of my current other weapons anyway.
