Hello guys,
If you are still affected by the issue (or you are only able to patch by using one of the workarounds), we can use your help again to collect some more debug info. Here’s what I would like you to do:
1. (Optional) If you used the google DNS workaround, please reset the changes.
2. Download cURL from https://curl.haxx.se/. (cURL is a tool that can be used to test http requests. You can remove it after the test. For more info on the app, visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CURL)
3. Open a command prompt, and run
curl -i http://assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com/latest64/101
4. Open http://d7uri8nf7uskq.cloudfront.net/JsCustomerTesting.html in your browser and run the testWhen you are done, please reply to this thread with the following information
1. Your location
2. Your ISP
3. entire output from cURL (step 3 in the instructions above)
4. Your customer GUID from the CloudFront test (step 4 from the instructions above)Once we collect enough data, we will continue the investigation with our CDN provider.
Thank you for your help!
The issue should be fixed now. If you are still affected, please run the tests above again and post the output here. We will investigate.
The problem was that the CloudFront (our CDN provider) edge nodes in St Louis were not able to communicate with our backend server. We are contacting our internet provider to get it resolved. For now, we are routing the traffic through a different provider.
Thank you again for the debug info. It provided great help to identify the issue.
Thank you! You saved my guild missions tonight!
You might try changing the address that the -assetsrv points to!
Or you know, ANet could actually fix the problem? I know, crazy talk.
I’m on day 6 of nothing working. The -assetsrv method is no longer working for me at all.
It’s now been 5 days and I am still unable to log on.
Yup, it’s been almost 48 hours now that I haven’t been able to log in. I called CenturyLink and they said the issue is on ANet’s side, not theirs, there is nothing they can do.
Can someone tell whoever “ANetCSLead” is that the issue is not in fact resolved?

That would be grand.
Did they ban the entire state of CO??
It’s because they are envious of our microbrews, isn’t it?! :‘( WE’LL SHARE ANET! WE’LL SHARE!
Ummm. Wait a minute Sibylle.
Sharing is caring <3
That’s great if we get to log on. We shouldn’t be premature after all.
True! So I guess we’ll use microbrews as leverage. If we get to log on, we’ll continue to share the wealth. Otherwise, Tyiey and I will drink it all before it can leave Colorado. Muhahahaha! (Hope your liver is in top form)

I am in Minnesota
I’m on Windows.
Hi guys,
We are investigating this issue. Can you help us by sending us the client logs? Here’s how to do it:
1. Run the Gw2 executable with the “-log” argument. The easiest way is to open a command prompt, go to your install directory, and then execute “gw2.exe -log”
2. A few seconds after you receive the connection error message, close the client.
3. Post your client log here. You can find the log at "C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.logPlease also let me know:
1. When does the error occur? Is it right after you start the app, before you get to the login screen?
2. Where are you located. We will keep you posted with our progress as well.
Thank you!
Here’s my log:

1. When does the error occur? Is it right after you start the app, before you get to the login screen?
It’s right after I launch the app, it just says “Downloading 0kb/0kb”
2. Where are you located.
Colorado
edit: I tried to reset the IP address per the website (I’ve done it like 5 times now, and restarted) but it doesn’t seem to be doing anything. I know y’all wanna blame CenturyLink, but I have 0 problems with anything else.
edit 2: My ISP is CenturyLink. In case that wasn’t clear from edit numero uno.

Another Colorado/CenturyLink player not able to get on. Currently 8:27 AM here. So is it Anet or CenturyLink that’s the problem?
I am guessing that it’s a particular server on their end, since I am not having connectivity problems with anything else.
Plus: http://www.mmoserverstatus.com/guild_wars_2 says that only one server is not responding, but I am not sure how accurate that is.
I’m in Colorado, CenturyLink, same issue.
C’mon Anet.
I am having the same issue.
So those of you who were able to do it using a teleportation gun… how’d you do the last jump? That’s where I am stuck on now. I have a necro.
You have to stand behind the spinny thing, aim for the intersection of the tubes, and then hit the teleportation gun. Indeed, a way to make this already incredibly difficult JP just that much harder.
Good luck guys, happy jumping!
