i got cod for both but mainly just online so u definitely have a valid point. i did try WvWvW and it just felt overwhelming but maybe ill have to give it a real go. and by end game i meant more like the satisfaction of finishing a good story and satisfaction of completion. i have done some reading and some others feel that gw2 didnt really have a great story line for its characters. so im beginning to think thats just how it might be but then again that could be just how i feel about the norn side of things. also i forgot to include i do mainly like to solo things or duel run with a friend. also is it worth it just to rush to level 80 then go for dungeons and all that stuff. also is there like a armor tier for the level i am and the next set of levels i havent come across any orange items or anything crazily good. do i need to go to some place in specific. last q where is a good link to read about things to do in this game i almost feel like the reason im lost is that i have no since of direction and to behonest i kinda like to be told what to do and complete that then fell like im running around like a chicken with its head cut off. and thanks again for the replies

before i begin i just want to say im not trolling or try to cause a ruckus. i just want to get back into the game the way i thought it was back when i first started. i have thought about starting a new character but im not sure if it would be worth the time. i will think about it depending on the answers i get. anyway here it goes. so im a norn warrior and im level 37. gave up on the game a couple months ago (really got into cod black ops II) and started to pick it up again. the problem im having is the game just feels so repetitive. come into a new area beat all hearts, climb vistas, hit points of interest(or whatever there called) ect. then on to the next area. now ill admit the game looks amazing but im not interested in that. ive probably put more time into super mario world than any other game. so graphics arent a concern. explorablility isnt really either. this game doesnt really feel like it a has a real progressive story that keeps you wanting to know more. it kinda feels like im just running wild to complete hearts and areas. also feels the same for my char learned all his skillls and used several different weapon types but feels like he isnt really going anywhere. now like i said i know that i can start a new char (which i might) but i kinda would rather see this one through and finally get to “endgame” in a mmo cause to be honest i end up quitting just because the game starts to feel like its the same thing over and over. so the main question i have is what are some things to make this game feel more alive. in a sense get that “X” factor back that made it seem worthwhile to play when i first got it. so thanks for reading and looking forward to any advice i get and please try not to beat me up too much im just looking for some out of the box things to do.
