Guild Wars 2

Same here. Just started the HoT missions in Verdant Brink and anything relating to an event such as finding a vista or a waypoint or similar, the game just freezes and I have to force quit it and restart.
I should mention while the Mac Beta client is still very buggy as it has been for years, it is usually not so bad that I have to force quit. This is making the game unplayable. I simply can’t progress if it freezes overtime a new event pops up or I find a vista or a waypoint. It’s too frustrating.

Almost want my money back

Yeah I’m not going to spend any more money on this. Snapped out of the “addiction” so to speak. Time to move on. Was sorta fun while it lasted though.

Oh yeah and the shaders appear to be messed up. My norn mesmer in her skimpy clothing looks like her breasts were heavily bruised doing Spirits know what.

but, whatever at this point. I’ll go play something else for a while.

Just an update:

I was about to spend 120 dollars on windows so I could play this game, but then I came to my senses. Spend 120 so I can spend more money buying gems? Stupid.

So I took the drastic but free approach of erasing every trace of guild wars from my computer. Redownloading the whole kitten client and then installing again.

Several hours later and I no longer have spinning camera problem. However:

tgupdate still runs.
Gem purchase window still frustratingly blank.

I give up.

Oh and still getting tgupdate at every restart. Obviously it’s not updating anything. . .

To fix the camera issue, try CTRL+TAB to switch to desktop then switch back to the game. This fixes the issue for me, until I restart the game (to fix TP not working..another bug) or sometimes traveling to a new map. But it always fixes it, so far.

Sadly still no luck with buying gems. But hey I guess I’m not the one losing money, so maybe I shouldn’t be sad about it.

I’ve also filed a report in game. And have since learned that the Ctrl-Tab work around works for me until I relaunch the game. I’m also sending in a system report.

What GW2 Version SHOULD we be running?

Didn’t fix it for me. Also unplayable now due to new rotation bug just like Beinghuman. Also seeing the update being applied every time I start the game making me also wonder if it’s not installing….

Nope didn’t fix it for me. Quite the opposite. Still can’t buy gems and now can’t play thanks to warp speed rotation bug.

sigh.

Really sucks especially you know, since it’s Wintersday and they added all these nice sweet things to buy and you really want them and you’re really getting into the game this time around and there’s even PRIZES for buying gems!

Just confirming that even with this new Wintersday build, nothing has changed. Still. Can’t. Buy. Gems. On top of that, if I walk down to Gamestop and buy a gem card guess what? That doesn’t work either.

Having issues also. Though it’s confined to the Gem Store. Everything else works just fine. However I have had intermittent issues in the past few weeks as well.

I’ve been having the exact same problem. Ever since the billing platform change. Can’t buy any gems.

I have also cleared the application support folder and also restarted the computer and client multiple times.

Also have the latest version of Mavericks. Though I have experienced this before. It just went away on it’s own the last time.

sigh…

Mine broke too. Was fine yesterday. Tried deleting the library folder and repairing permissions and rebooting and nothing works. Just doesn’t launch.

Guess I’ll go back to wow for a while. By the way, this thing has been in Beta for a year. When is the final version or at least an updated beta??
