What amazes me is how diligently they are analizing who did not received any chest to be awarded ONE when many people got SEVERAL chests (several chars at event day + mail today) or got a chest by mail without even participating in the event and in the Account Issues forum has already been acknowledgeded that people who got several chests have nothing to fear and can keep everything.

Why not giving a chest to whomever did not got 1 today by mail?

I’ve tried to address this too, but it seems some troll is always ready to crucify me by saying I’m making crap up, being a socialist, etc…

I hope eventually they’ll figure out a solution to this that’ll at least make some general sense, I realize someone will ALWAYS complain, but it seems every attempt thusfar has created more issues. Seems to me that’s become a running theme over the past week with things like the cliffside fractal and the like. Fix one mistake create ten more. I realize in a perfect world that would never happen, and with a solution with such a vast player base, someone will always get shorted, but it feels there could have been some sort of better thought out fix.

Earlier someone somewhere posted something about having a chest be in LA for open looting. I think that would be an amicable solution, have it live for 24hrs after notifying people then close it off. The problem is it creates the same issue as the original event itself. In my experience though, one time events that take place for only a set period of hours always end up being the producers playing with fire… Members feel alienated because they have jobs, etc that prevent them from being able to do the event.

Hopefully there will be something that works out in the end, and quick.

You Can’t Teach Awesome [CANT] is currently looking for new members. We’re a PvE focused guild with members on all hours of the day. Our core time is late evenings (9pm onward) in the Pacific time zone.

We’re looking for more friendly, experienced members who like to work together and are into end game content to join our ranks. We’d really like to get more members who are on in the mornings (eg: 9am-2pm PST) as well.

As I said our main focus is PvE and we run dungeons every day with members. Our most frequented areas are Arah, FoTM (with several members at level 14+), AC and CoF. We keep a surplus of banners ready for dungeon running and are working at getting MF/Gathering/Karma bonuses running 24/7 as well. We are a fairly new guild with 20 members having mostly formed from members moving over from a different server, but all are experienced in the game with all of us having at least one well geared level 80 character, some of us multiple.

The reality is this. I don’t care if I get a freaking chest, I would just like to see ANet do SOMETHING broad spectrum rather then set up a script where clearly people are not getting treated equally. I don’t care if it’s fluff items or what. I bothers me to see people getting stuff who never even attended the event and people that wasted their time through hours of slogging through the lag fest only to get nothing, and still be screwed over by not getting anything in the end.

Further into that too, is the fact that nobody has stepped up and stated what the “qualifiers” for the new chest are. Official responses to tickets being opened on the matter of having dc and not receiving anything is “sorry, you just didn’t qualify.” What I don’t understand with this is how if someone “didn’t qualify” people that are getting chests and got to loot the chest at the event did qualify. Cause that makes total sense… I think that’s the biggest thing that needs to be addressed.

Yes they are trying to amend the wrong, but they’re creating more wrongs in the process. I applaud an effort, but clearly something is wrong here.

Honestly what I’m more pissed off at this point with is the fact that the official tally on people that I know is that there has been 8 people now who’ve gotten 2 chests. 3 who’ve gotten one. Of those 11, 7 of them were online and popped the chest at the event.

I however have still not gotten any. And I dc several times.

Lol still nothing. Several guildies who did open the chest have gotten mail :P Come on anet, you owe me two.

Keep seeing people blowing up map chat having gotten their boxes, just feeling a little bit screwed by anet again on this. We’ll see if I get mine on either of my characters.

I better get something in the mail. I had five disconnects on five different servers between two toons. Never got to complete it on either toon.

Doing the Arah story mode can be very difficult to find a group for at times. It takes a very very long time to complete compared to other dungeons.

Try the gw2lfg website, as well, if you aren’t attached to your server, try moving to a different one. My current server I see at least one LFM Arah Story in LA map chat a day. My old server it never happened.

And yet by fixing the “problems” in the cliffside fractal you managed to screw it up to where it’s unplayable at times. Wont get those hours of my life back…

I’ve been having mail bugs since day one and submitted several tickets about it. A few weeks ago I lost a crafted dagger from a guildie along with over 15g that was sent to me from friends as repayments for loans. I submitted two tickets about it, have done everything I can on my end (clearing everything out of my mailbox, etc.) and still have no dagger or gold. The messages in question were received, but after looking at them then returning to the dungeon I was in, I returned to LA and the messages were empty. There was nothing in them. I haven’t received a single response from ANet on the matter.

And when I speak of mail bugs, sometimes mail I send will not reach the destination for days or even weeks, mail to me will take hours or even days to receive. Messages will be received with corrupt text, or corrupt items (text will be screwy, they’ll be unequippable and not be soulbound, etc.)
