Guild Wars 2

So only until last week I have not had any issues with my Connection to GW2.

Now it appears I am suffering from severe Packet Loss.

This issue is only occurring with Guild Wars 2.

What can I do to fix this? It is very frustrating.

Admired how ballsy Choo was tonight on FABL. NW Bay was a pretty decent fight, though would’ve been nice without AC’s to have a little more room to play with for the fights. We were hoping to pull off so you guys could take out the AC that got built on our end and we could continue on, but I don’t know any of the Choo leaders.

We went to EB to see if TW was still there, but it was a ghost town and we were wrapping up after SMC. Looking forward to the fights tomorrow.

Yea it was allot of fun. Definitely hard to kill the ACs when you and CL are kinda sitting on top them though.

I think there’s some misinformation happening in the first picture, I know Choo didn’t walk away from anything but JQ BL after that fight.

We hung in for a while that night actually. Easter weekend unfortunately hit us hard. We topped out on 27 Choo in WvW x( Was fun though we worked on small group tactics for a while despite our comp sucking. It was also different not seeing the backs of KnT anymore! Hehe Happy Easter Everyone!

Like a pit of death, that’s what the SoR spawn area looked like on BG BL yesterday when I logged in. I got to pop tag for like 20 minutes for all of that nonsense, it was awesome. I swear there were like 200+ ppl there!

That was allot of fun. It was a pain to get the milita to move and push when we needed them too though. I think allot of them get intimidated by seeing so many name plates they hesitate. And when you hesitate against a larger more organized group your going to loose 90% of the time.

I think soon enough the novelty of these super zergs will die down. All yesterday SoR was just stacked up on a single commander. Partly because it was needed to fight hte other servers zergs but there you have it. Its a vicious cycle where 1 server zergs to counter the other servers zerg that is zerging to stop your zerg. Soon enough people will break off and start back capping towers more and we will split back up to normal.

I think we can all agree what is happening now is not usual play and I hope it dosent last too much longer.

My Post was unfortunately deleted because it quoted an infracted post. I do not think that the person(s) that are sabotaging JQ keeps are particularly their for another servers benefit. I was informed by someone on JQ that one of the fake Choo members was also using a fake [Agg] tag when they where draining supply out of SM. I honestly think its just a troll who wants to tarnish our reputations and get our servers to start flaming each other. A great butler once said “Some men just want to watch the world burn”.

It was fun fighting you even if you had massive numbers compared to us.

I keep telling our members its something we need to practice.

If your worried about dying in WvW your playing the wrong game. Everyone dies at some point. As far as griefing is concerned, where is killing your enemy repeatedly considered griefing. This is PvP not PvGate or Door or Environment. It is up to players to take objectives and it is up to players to deny enemies from taking objectives.

As far as reputation is concerned I think ours is pretty good, we repeatedly said last week we where out there for fights not points. I think finding the enemy groups and attacking them repeatedly, falls within that statement.

Wow that video makes EMP look really stupid, especially at the end when you wipe them and noodles says F this lol. Very surprising since EMP is a very respected guild. I wouldn’t be surprised if noodles gives a public apology for that display of childish antics once he realizes how wrong he was.

An apology for his antics wouldn’t offset the damage he brought upon his guild. If you watch EMP’s GvG with ICoa, you hear they only lost rounds due to outside interference from BG or SoR.

EMP can’t stand losing from the top down.

Another interesting fact is in the CHOO fights they posted 30v30 in the fraps, but the fight was actually supposed to be 25 v 25. Someone brought 5 extra people to the fight. I won’t say who but I bet you its the guild that can’t stand to lose and gets kitten y when they do and runs from guilds that they know they can’t beat.

We also destroyed them in the first 4 fights, I know in their stream they say we have 30+ I can prove with supply counts our numbers for every fight. EMP is a guild that has more experience with GvG so I dont doubt their ability to win. As far as our GvG is concerned EMP won fair and square. However I do think that it should be customary to show the /supplycount of your group stacked on top of you right before the fight and include that in your footage. Its like drug testing in sports, its hard to control outside factors but it can at least prove that a team is not stacking extra players into their group.

Untill Anet gives us a zone where we can only zone in specific participants on a battlefield and then have a separate zone for spectators so they cant interfere, all of these gvgs you have to take with a grain of salt. Right now there is no way to stop a sideline warrior from dropping an extra war banner and rezzing 5 players. So more descrete then

Yeah those Choo bags are the best. We’ve whiped each other back and forth all night even with you having twice as many people. It’s great seeing you guys out in force though, keep it classy SoR!

I started playing about two hours ago and you guys have not wiped us once while we wiped you over 10 times. I can’t speak for before that though. Great fights though!!!

Also, the true nature of WvW is designed to be a 24/7 war.

I’d really like to see SoR get some more guilds in the time zones that they need. It’s too early for me to tell what those are just yet as we haven’t played the new and improved version of them for even 24 hours yet or on a week day, but it would be very healthy for this tier to have all servers competing around the clock without major gaps

Its the same times week lacked before… Oceanic and Asia. We have some great guilds in those slots right now but they are out maned by both servers every time.

I think Anet should give everyone 1 more free transfer so we could have a draft style picking of guilds.

But seriously though its easy to speculate what might happen in the future, we will continue to fight it out see how things go. Hope for the best and prepare for what ever challenges we may face in the future.

Thank you. I mean who knows what system Anet is making but I figure this system would fit gw2 build style and be familiar to the players.

Recently on an interview with Guild Wars 2 Junkies I was asked a question about what the new WvW skill progression might be and I kind of blanked. I gave it more thought after the show and this is what I have come up with for a system that I would like to see.

I envision the new system of abilities for WvW to be based on the current trait system in GW2 just with fewer paths. So say you have 3 paths Siege Master, Tactician, and Logistics (Or something like that). These trees would have the adept, master, and grandmaster trait levels as well as the intermediate bonuses. The rank system would progress similarly to sPvP, gaining points for kills, finishing enemies, capturing camps/towers ect, and defending objectives. Every Level up in WvW rank gives you a point you can place in a trait line. Lets take Siege Master for example, where every point in the tree Increases base DMG of siege the player uses (at a rate that isn’t over powered). Intermediate trait levels would bring things like % increase in range and increased toughness while on siege while the adept, master, and grandmaster trait levels could have options of more importance like reduced cooldowns and maybe even allow siege to combo finish. To unlock the traits themselves you would spend Badges, tier one trait options would cost 150 Badges and then scale up accordingly. Respecing would also have a badge cost and not a monetary cost.

For balance reasons I think you should probably only be able to go to grandmaster in a certain trait line and then adept in 1 other. There also needs to be increased badge earning rate based on your rank level to help classes that play more of a support role in wvw.

Trait ideas for the different trees could be things like: passive siege regeneration, passive, siege health pool increase, increased repair amount per supply, + 2-5 passive supply load, inspire guards (guards are buffed near player), Stealth attacker (player does not count towards orange X’s), Speed Siege builder (quicker build time), increased dmg against enemy siege, upon successful escorting of a dolyak +5% supply is delivered (non stacking), Escorted Yaks + Toughness/vit/swiftness, +tough/vit for players capping an objective or defending (in the control circle).

Obviously there would need to be allot of balancing done but what do you think of this possible way they could implement a WvW rank based progression and ability system?

I think that it would bring a whole new dynamic to WvW group composition. Which players in your group will man siege (Siege Master), which will escort yaks and repair damaged towers (Logistics), and which will be making the push to attack objectives and defend your own (tactician). An exploit is an exploit regardless if it is used to kill a yak with no destination or to take an upgraded Stone Mist. The fact that people are trying to argue that the incident insignificant based on severity is disappointing.

As far as the its “easy to accidentally blink into the ground”. That may be true. The difference between an accident and an exploit is if you actively take advantage of the situation and kill yaks or take a tower, that is not an accident. If you find a bank vault open and unguarded, taking a dollar from it is still stealing, same as knocking out the guard and taking hundreds of dollars. The proper thing to do is to remove yourself from the situation and alert the proper authorities.

If we want to talk about pure skill versus skill. I think JQ is rather skilled, especially the way they organize their militia. Heck Choo bounces out of EB… 10 minutes later JQ militia are flying around the SM lords rooms with highly coordinated precision. The way JQ moves and contests camps for back up as well as contests waypoints before making strikes are also very impressive considering there dont appear to be any large organized guilds in there.

I dont think or at least I hope that when people are talking about JQs coverage they are not mad at it and that they are not ignoring JQ’s ability to organize militia effectively. It also natural to try and blame and identify that the only reason JQ is winning is because of coverage because its something largely out of our control. JQs skill as a server is nothing but Tier 1 quality and as an SoR Commander, Guild Leader, and WvW’er, I think that people look over that easily.

With that being said, I think this week has been some of the best PvP I have had in a long while. Especially reset night against FoE and PRX as well as the rest of the week against FoE and a little tSym in there for flavor the other night. I will say this though SoS’s presence on EB seems scared to attack JQ. I am NOT playing the we are getting 2v1 card, I just wish SoS pressured JQ more so we could get them off our lawn.

Because I was one of the many baby sitting the mesmer that sat dead next to the water gate for 2 hours. So they finally got him ressed from the outside and cheated to get in.

If they hid one legitimately that would have been fine. But leaving a dead one near a gate that nobody can do anything about? That’s cheating.

Saw that happen twice this afternoon by SoR players, but never occurred to me to come to the forum about it.

Next time you see that please take a photo and send it to us. We will handle it.

There was no defenders for the first gate except for 2 or 3 people slipping past us to get inside. We just got backed into a corner and had to figure out a way to get TC to stop pressuring us at brair/bay/garrison. Flipping Hills was crucial to relieving the pressure.

We got a ton of flak in map/team about just playing whack a mole at garrison. All we could say is just have faith we have a plan. Thankfully it worked. But as I said the TC attacks where relentless.

Honestly the enemy zerg does not cull for us aswell. People shout they are abusing culling like its one-sided. Every day enemy groups pop out on top of us/behind us and we dont say they are abusing culling. As far as the run away and then attack. I guess any time you try to consolidate your forces to make another attack is abusing culling.

Thus the only ways to not abuse culling is if everyone ran in groups of 20 or less and we all stayed on opposite ends of the map. Never pull off an attack to re strengthen your numbers. Never use portals, veils, stealth, or come out of keep portals. Maybe we could line up like they did during the revolutionary war and slowly march towards each other. That will give people time for the enemy to render and maybe a more fair fight.

I guess Technically they are not 500+ but they are huge As an SoR Player there was iCoa Everywhere.

I guess I should contribute to the thread. As a previous opponent there is allot of talented guilds and players on BG. I would say their coverage is fairly well rounded, they may claim the are weak Na at times, I think thats not entirely true. They may not have ques in prime time on all BLs but they are not a ghost town either. Allot of their success in T2 was because they had well rounded coverage. They are also fairly good at getting all their guilds and WvWers to make pushes when they need it which is also respectable. Out of all the servers we have played against, BG is the one server I would really like a rematch with.

TC Was on another level last night with their strategies last night IMO. Constantly when a tower got hit there would be a ninja or another attack elsewhere at the same time. You guys really made us question your tactics, like “is this really their main target or do they have… yep they have rams on NW bay.” You guys pushed to Choo to having to split up into 3 different groups at one point just to make sure you where not back dooring other towers.

Correct me if I am wrong but we only got 2 NA guild transfers? and several Oceanic Euro Transfers. Our NA guilds and the community as a whole has been forged in adversity, 9 Weeks against BG, 2 Weeks against SoS, and many more weeks climbing out way up there. When I look at the guilds that show up to the strategy meeting. There is some new faces yes, but 90% of those guilds also showed up to the meeting 12 weeks ago when we where like “Wow We finally made it to T2”.

Every week at those meeting we constantly told our selves dont look at the score board, do what you can do, do it well, and we will get the coverage we need to be more competitive. With the hard work over the past couple months we have finally earned our due. We got the high quality oceanic and euro guilds we needed to make our server more competitive at WvW.

Its insulting that you say our comunitty is pretend. Your community has gotten where it is today under the same conditions we developed our own community under. As Bane would say it, “Your community has only just adopted Tier 2, we where born in it”.

Those guilds made the right choice xD. One upside of this is having the luxury of SM waypoint. Seems like I hadn’t been able to use that in ages.

So many times I have said “Ok Lets start porting the golems back to SM” to hear “Why dont we just waypoint them?”

By now I think we have held onto SM more this week then we have with all our matchups combined against BG.

Fun in SBI BL.

I think it would have been more fun if Choo stuck to one map, CDS another and Fear the last. When you guys combined it gave the appearance of Choo calling for help after a number of wipes. Not much 100v30 needed out there lol.

Choo has 10-15 members online tonight in WvW. The rest are playing the sleep game.

As for saying 100 v 30, you really shouldn’t speak about being out numbered unless you know what was going on at the time. If you really want to know whisper Jedbacca. Rather keep the drama off these forums.

SBI way outnumbered the forces that where following me inside our Garrison. It was a rough fight I wont lie. We wiped allot, I also remember SBI Wiping several times as well. Oh and TC took the garrison any ways so whats up with that. Did yall leave cause you didnt get the garrison after you wiped a bit? Where the guilds in SBI calling for help?

If we can make a difference else where with the resources I have I am going to do that.

Thanks SoR for all the bags and kills really starting to get my Ultimate Dominator title up there got 500+ today in EB couldn’t have done it without Choo (haha get the pun!) you guys are helping me work on I think my 40th stack of badges and costing me money on new bags since 12 slots couldn’t hold all of my drops anyway good fights all around from SoR and SBI
