Guild Wars 2

Since the update yesterday I have found my client crashing at various times when playing pvp matches. It has happened at the beginning, end and during a match. My machine crashes to desktop and then the login screen appears for me to log back into the game with. It does not crash when waiting or queuing in the Heart of the Mists. Just when I click accept to go into a match.

Before the April 14th patch I never had this problem. PVE and WvW works fine.

Hey guys. I added this text “-assetsrv 62.154.232.187:80” to the end of the target location of my GW2 shortcut, and restarted it. It then downloaded a 3mb/s and finished in a few seconds.

Example, target location now reads: “C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -assetsrv 62.154.232.187:80

Having the same issue and in the UK. Closed client down and will leave for a while to see if that sorts it.

Adding my voice to this. As mentioned above in a post. This is a restriction and not an improvement and you are generating a lot of bad feeling over this change. Suggest its reversed!
If good content is added then people will play the game and spend money in the gem store (the old version that people liked!).
