Okay I think I have the login errors solved but here’s a summary of my problems still occurring.

1. I cannot log into my support account. I created a support account and it worked fine for a few days, but now I get an error when I try to log in. In addition, the password reset option does not accomplish anything. I spoke extensively with someone on the phone about this issue, and for some reason the emails are not sent to my Gmail account. I have confirmed that they are not being blocked or put in the spam folder. I suspect something else is at play because there is no reason my original password should have stopped working in the first place.

2. I have made repeated inquiries about salvaging my old character names from my first GW2 account that was disabled per my request. Some support has hinted that this may be possible if the old names could just be deleted, presumably I could reuse them, but as far as I know, I no longer have access to the original account to delete the old names.

(The ticket most relevant to these problems is 121015-000466)

I still can’t log in to the game client or my support account. Password reset does not work. Somebody please help me. I have made a dozen tickets and nobody addresses this issue!

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. I think I resolved the log-in issue but I now have another ticket open detailing several other problems, [Incident: 121017-000713], could you possibly look this over?

Hopefully a mod or someone can see this and offer more help than the pathetic email support I’ve had to deal with. I pre purchased GW2 way back in April and I was too busy to play around launch but when I first tried to play a few weeks later, I was unable to log into my account. I can’t remember all the details but I was sent a password reset by support and confirmed it worked but by the time I was ready to play a few days later, the password no longer worked. This scenario repeated itself 2 more times before I got frustrated and asked for a refund which I received.

Afterwards, I decided to buy a physical copy of the game instead. I registered it to a new email address with all new account details to hopefully start from scratch to avoid these ridiculous problems but I’m still receiving the same log in error with the game client. It’s not a firewall or anything on my end. For some reason my account credentials are not working because the error I receive is the exact same as if I input random account name and password information. Yet I am able to successfully log into my account through the website.

So after 2 game purchases, a dozen emails, and countless log in attempts and password resets, I have still never been able to play an ounce of GW2 after a month of attempts. Please help me.
