Just a note that I am also stuck after the minister talks about his grandfather, that I am also a necro and that I also had minions out.

So no solution yet – good thing I have dailies to do on my alts!

So I started GW2 by purchasing HOT, leveled a necro to 80, finished the storyline (ending with Victory or Death). Then I get the mail about going to talk to someone in Lion’s Arch (whose name I forget) about a summary of Living World 1. She was located at the Durmand Priory Dig Site.

I was super pumped to jump straight into HOT storyline, because honestly the storyline is the most exciting part of GW2 for me and I look forward to exploring the personal story options with alts.

But after I listened to the summary of LW1, I got nothing. No next step, no green blip. I spent some time googling and found out where the HOT storyline is supposed to start – went there and didn’t find the instance entrance.

Any thoughts? Do I need to buy LW2 to access HOT storyline? That doesn’t seem to make sense. Is there some milestone that I need to reach other than being level 80 to unlock the HOT storyline?

Any help would be appreciated – I’ve looked all over and couldn’t find anyone with the same problem.

SOLVED: You have to start the story from your Hero Tab. Wish someone would point that out or make it more clear!
