Clearly you have much expertise at these sort of problems and have all the solutions and programming know-how to automagically fix the current state of the game in less than 2 months!

You are thinking about only yourself and not about the whole picture. In my opinion an mmo needs a constant supply of new players and most new players aren’t going to want to play an mmo with dynamic events by themselves. It’s not as fun as having a group of random people run in with you and tackle the event together. That is how it will be with new areas and content being released all the time so you can see why this was needed. Could it have been implemented better? Yes it could have, I don’t disagree there.

Just because you don’t see immediate change it doesn’t mean they’re not working on it and there has been communication, just not enough. The problem isn’t “zerging” either, the problem is that the game hasn’t been optimized for a megaserver atmosphere. There should be over 100 players trying to take down world bosses! Bosses and events just need to be changed to accommodate this but that takes time to do and patience on our part.

I agree that there are a lot of balancing issues that need to be resolved with the advent of the megaserver rollout and I’m sure Anet realizes that as well. They have already stated that they are working on the megaserver issues. With a motto of “new content every 2 weeks” a megaserver is required to keep lower level areas from becoming dead zones. I, personally, like seeing other players in the map I’m adventuring in so it was a great update for me. It’s nice to step outside of your normal party/guild circle and meet new people and I thank you for that!

However, I also feel there could be a little more communication from the devs to help quell all the doomsayers and “I’m gonna quit playing” threats that are littering the forums. Not everyone has the patience required or takes into consideration that there is a lot of reworking to do that will take a lot of time on top of new content and bugfixes being released.
