Are you running the 13.4 drivers, beta drivers or what your laptop came with?

You never said what your FPS was and where you were when you checked. Cities depress the frame rate as well as times when surrounded by active players. More players, worse frame rate.

Not sure if CrossfireX is a plus with this game. You could try to use only the HD 7670M and see if that gives you a better frame rate.

Most importantly, the game becomes CPU bound often. So a low performance CPU will drive down overall performance. A 1900MHz Piledriver core is pretty low end performance wise.

Since it is a laptop make sure you are running a performance profile for power (assuming you are playing plugged in).

I am running 12.104, which is the latest non-beta drivers. I was getting 15-20~ in cities, and when out of cities about 25-40. When turning the camera it drops a lot, once stuff is rendered it goes back up.

My laptop isn’t great, but it is by no means bad. I believe that I should be able to run the game faster than I am now.

The settings are all on the lowest they can be, and when in fullscreen the resolution is on 1280×720, my native resolution is 1366×768. Lowering the resolution increases the fps by a few.

I recently did a fresh install of Windows 8 and so have installed very little amount of programs, that should not affect it.

My laptop specs:
AMD Quad-Core Processor A8-4500M
AMD Radeon HD 7640G + 7670M 1GB
4GB DDR3 RAM

Is there a way to increase fps other than the in-game settings? Modifying a .cfg file or something?

hey I just got the game, had a few questions

Ive never played an MMO game like guild wars. Would this game be enjoyable to a newcomer to this genre?
How many people are still playing? i know its a little old but is the community still active?
Do you need friends to enjoy the game or is it fine solo?
And how well would my laptop run this game? AMD Quad core a8-4500M, Radeon HD 7640G + 7670M 1GB, 4GB DDR3 RAM
