I think one possible solution to stop this from happening in future world-wide events would be to have the rewards NOT solely dependent on the very last event in the chain. As many others in this thread have stated, they spent upwards of 2 hours battling through hordes of difficult monsters, some which couldn’t be seen due to culling issues, dying repeatedly, nevertheless completing the majority of the events in the chain, only to receive nothing due to not being able to deal the final blow at the very end. Whereas someone else could have been doing something else entirely, jump in right at the end, deal the final blow and get rewarded for not doing the whole thing. Something about that just rubs me the wrong way.

I’m not sure whether I’m even entitled to some sort of compensation since I wasn’t disconnected involuntarily, I intended to log out and back in to fix my lag issues only to find I couldn’t, and it’s that uncertainty that’s getting to me, personally. That said, I would be happy if some resolution was given only to the people who crashed/got disconnected, because it was completely out of their power.

Again, while I’m not going to stop playing or let this all affect how I see the game as a whole, I do hope something will be done. A lot of people, as well as myself, are pretty gutted by this. :\

Not exactly the same problem as other people in this thread, but similar.

I had been participating in today’s event from the start with two of my friends. Due to the sheer amount of people in the overflow I was in I was lagging pretty badly, and there were some culling issues, but we soldiered on despite this and didn’t let the number of deaths we were having faze us.

We were about halfway through the event when the models on my screen would stop moving for around 3 seconds at a time, so I logged out and in and it solved the problem for a while, but later on, towards the end of the phase where you had to kill the reinforcements, it started happening again. Thinking nothing of it, I logged out again, only to find that I couldn’t log back in.

I wasn’t able to log back in until some time had passed after the end of the event on the overflow my friends and I were on, and I was still having terrible lag issues. My friend pointed out to me where the chest should have been, but I couldn’t see anything.

I’m not angry, I’m just … incredibly upset and disappointed. It’s not so much the loot that I was worried about, but just the acknowledgement that I had helped out, and the fact that it was taken from me due to something not within my power just left me feeling gutted.

I don’t think this’ll change how I view the game and I’m not going to stop playing or anything, but some resolution would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
