It’s just the background from the old character select screen, before they changed it for HoT. Example from 2012.
it looks nothing like that, it’s all black and smoldering now
(primordus confirmed?)
Notice how I used the word background. I was talking about the old LA artwork not being new artwork, not about the menu. The menu is obviously different, and yeah I think it’s about primordus given the colors.
Edit: All my characters have light skin and they all seem to have similar lighting effect that makes it look darker in areas like Ember Bay so it’s definitely scorching themed.

Oh, look. A new spring outfit. Let’s preview it and see how it looks on my little Asura Sally.
Oh, look. Again Sally is getting hand-me-downs from her brother. Great.
Come on, Anet. 98% of the Asuran armors and outfits are unisex. Which means male. I don’t care about lore; we have sunglasses and bunny ears. Give poor Sally some dresses already.
Honestly I wish female humans were in your shoes sometimes. There are only 2 heavy helms that I like the looks of, one being the vigil one and the other being the male Phalanx armor one but oh no! The Phalanx armor helmet for females is completely different (rest of armor set is sweet, I can’t complain) so I can’t use it on heavily armored fashion wars and have to always resort to making something match the Vigil helm.

Non Raiders blocked from XP bar spirit shards
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

I just thought it would be nice for non raiders to still be able to get spirit shards.
They can.
Well yes. I meant via the xp bar fill though.
They still can.
Right after launch.

Might be a US problem, I play on EU and last I checked, there was 5+ maps running. This is not counting the maps run by organised groups. But just the “pug” maps, where 3 people have tagged up and put up lfg’s. And it have been like that every time I have looked. That is about the same as TEQ, so is there also eerily quiet at teq?
when do people learn to use lfg… sign
It’s very similar in NA in terms of maps running it from what I’ve seen. Well at least not when Teq and DS happen very closely, but that only happens a few times a day. During the evening PST there’s usually enough DS taxis on LFG when it’s starting. It does take a while sometimes to find a non-full map, though, which can be very annoying due to the locked time.
