There have been other threads that deal with this same topic. The QA Team has currently responded that it was a miscommunication, and there are currently no signs that it will be fixed. However, you are 100% correct in your assumption – we were repeatedly told that MF gear would become account bound, on multiple occasions in multiple instances by multiple reputable staff of arenanet.

There is another thread in this forum that deals with MF gear becoming soulbound despite the devs repeatedly stating that it was account bound. The reply by the QA Team was that it was a “miscommunication” and we have not received word as to whether they will uphold their promise or take the moral low road by reneging on something they repeatedly announced.

We were told over and over that MF gear would become account bound. There was no misunderstanding on our part. It was Anet who unequivocally ‘dropped the ball’ on this one. Simply put, they should fix this to what was promised.

Same here. There are other topics on this forum that have reported the same issue, but it looks like no one from anet has replied yet. I myself haven’t been able to get any achievement credit for closing portals today.

I don’t think it’s a bug. The revive effects seem pretty powerful in the right situation.

Very frustrating. Just finished Fireheart and did not get achievement credit. I hope this gets fixed soon or people will realize that it’s not counting and stop doing the event.

This happened. It only gives sprockets now and is completely worthless for farming. (Or, really, anything aside from the achievement now.)

Yep, same for me. Not getting credit for the 40~ minutes spent closing portals. Hopefully this will not only get fixed, but also properly credit those who went through the time and energy to try to complete the achievement.

I also have the same issue. 0KB/sec. Tried to restart computer and internet and both did not work.
