LF Late-night NA (afternoon OCX?) PVE Guild

My buddy and I are veteran players, almost strictly PvE, who login every day. I would call us “dedicated casual” players, who enjoy world exploration and achievement hunting. However, we play late at night (usually ~10pm-12am Pacific, or later) and are hoping to find a social guild that routinely plans PvE events for that time of day, specifically those things we can’t accomplish as a duo: Dungeons, Fractals, and Guild Missions. We prefer to make some actual comrades inside of a guild rather than join random PUGs.

Are there any other wise-cracking pun-slinging night owls for us to join up with for team/party content? Or perhaps there are Oceanic guilds active at this time?

Thank you to everyone that replied here or via PMs. I would like to try out a few groups, and I think I’ll have trouble deciding between such nice folks!

1. I’m currently on [Tarnished Coast]. I don’t really see the need to transfer right now while I try out a new guild since I’m only interested in PvE stuff, but I would consider it for an absolute perfect fit.

2. My play time is late at night in the Mountain time zone (~10pm-2am) so I think I would fit best with a west-coast North American guild. I haven’t yet found anyone advertising that they organize guild events starting this late at night, e.g. 9pm PST, but that would be ideal. Or possibly there’s an Oceanic guild organizing events for their afternoon (e.g. 2pm in Eastern Australia)?

3. Having organized PvE events (for some days of the week) would be awesome. After enough time, I will become comfortable and perhaps eager enough to do the organizing.

4. I’ve got 4 L80s, and one of them has 100% exploration and L10 fractals, so I’m fairly experienced with the game. But I’ve only done a subset of dungeon paths, and have only hunted a few bounty bosses. I want to do more of these! And the other missions! And actually kill Teq! And craft a Legendary! And do all the new Living World stuffs! (Achievement addict here.)

5. The guild members should be mature (I’m 39), open-minded, and hopefully a bit silly (I fully endorse pun wars, and use “Mad Gabs” for all my toon names). Having an established website/forums/Facebook page would be a great way to interact out of game. I’ve got a few RL friends in the game, but they don’t play as regularly as I do, yet it would be nice to find a great guild that would accept them if they choose to apply.

…especially if they play late at night (relative to North Americaland).

…and actually use words instead of avian communication.

Gigglesnorts galore. This group is great. Kai is even funny on purpose sometimes!

Since joining SnS, I have had literally several moments of fun with them. They’re extremely adept at taking showers in the middle of Orr exploration runs, hovering glitchtastically over lava pools, and can change their armour colours in mere minutes.

I don’t know about the advertised attraction boost, but my dog has been whining less on car rides to the park.

Just kidding!

He still whines a lot.

Every necro must be told to keep the starter mask. Spread the word!

(And I do now have a baby Quaggan backpack. :P)

You guys seem friendly and are actually active on your forums (I lurked a wee bit). I am in a guild on JQ but there’s not a whole lot of activity late at night when I routinely play (>12am EST). They also completed 100% exploration and all dungeon paths ages ago so nothing is new to them anymore which takes some of the fun out of it for someone who doesn’t want to hold them back from rushing through an instance. My closest friends are also on a break from the game.

So I’m looking for a group with members active when I play, with a great sense of (adult) humour, and wouldn’t mind allowing a cross-server multi-guild player join up for dungeons, possibly tempting him (and his closest friends) to jump servers for co-op storyline and dailies PvE play.

Weird random sound during play

Myself and a friend, both using Windows 7 PCs, have also encountered random (non-reproducible) odd sound clips, only a handful of intermittent times since release. They can sound something like a knock on a door, or a partial gunshot, and are much louder than anything else in the game. We’ve discovered that they were tied to actions of our minions or pets, such that when the minion was destroyed or the pet swapped, the random sound went away.

Just both be near the dungeon when one of you goes in and everyone will get a dialog box to join. Even ’cross server.

I haven’t done a dungeon yet. Is it only the party members that see the dialogue? Does this work for storyline quests too?

On a somewhat related note, how does a party deal with the scenario where someone leaves mid-dungeon (intentionally or because of network problems)?

I am Xavena Wildthyme!
I don’t much care for any of the in-game light armors, and was actually hoping to buy the Kryta skin with gems because of the bone adornments. But it’s medium-only, so I settled for the Profane instead.
