So, a majority of players dislike/hate what’s being done…and yet ANet continues on with their stupid, game-damaging patches anyway. I…don’t understand. They aren’t Blizzard, why are they trying to be like them?

Changing the trait system didn’t make it more difficult, it made it more annoying. I suppose they were trying to compensate for people thinking they made it more difficult by changing the trait system by removing every champion on the starter map or even making the vets easy to solo.

In Nornia (er Wayfarer Foothills) they changed an event of stealing food and running it back to an NPC to just clicking it now. Seriously? How hard is it to run back and forth? Are people just SO lazy they can’t press W for a few seconds to run the food sacs back?

Ugh.

Nothing is going right and I can’t enjoy the game anymore. This patch is a living nightmare and an insult to the intelligence of every player.

Freakin’ right it’s an insult. This game was great when I started playing nearly two years ago, but now… it’s like the dragon corruption got to ANet’s staff. It’s a mindless grind game for 9 year olds.

I’m so tired of MMO’s changing their content to make it “easy”. I don’t want easy. I want challenging and FUN. You need to stop messing with the game which is already good. ArenaNet is slowly, but surely destroying their game. The game was already ridiculously easy as it was, but it had some neat, unique features. Now it’s like a two year old could button mash and make it to 80 in no time flat.

I don’t want to play an MMO with a bunch of children, I want to play with adults (preferably ones that don’t act like children). I want to RP and PvE without having to deal with a bunch of prima donnas that only play because it’s easy.

Quit. Tweaking. The game. Any more tweaking and you’ll freakin’ ruin it for good and I, for one, will stop playing. I will find another MMO an play that – even if I have to pay for it because this is disgustingly infuriating.

Skill Points for Traits?

I have 80’s of all the professions. I have them built the way I want with the traits I want. Having to jump through hoops or try to find where to earn more skill points if I wanted to rebuild them or even for the new characters I make and level up really makes me want to quit playing entirely. I don’t do PvP. I prefer PvE, and there just simply aren’t enough ways to earn SP in the game short of “leveling” once you hit 80.

So, what? I have to suck as a player until then? Quit screwing things up. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. And for the love of Pete, don’t “improve” it either. Leave it be. It’s bad enough you wait to start giving us trait points. We have to wait several levels to get them at all, and then you slam a bunch at us the closer we get to 80. I used to be able to get a good feel for my character by level 14ish; now I have to wait til like…50. I’m just grateful most of my character leveling happened before they screwed this up so I didn’t have to deal with the headache.

Any other suggestions for good MMO’s I could play instead? I’ve tried a bunch of crap already that was ‘eh’. This game went from great to ‘eh’ in about 3 months time of “improvements”.

Skill Points for Traits?

I never get on forums, but this is ridiculous. You have to spend skill points for skills…and also to use the mystic forge, and now for traits. Seriously? The alternate being…what…go to places you don’t want to go and be forced to go do crap you don’t want to?

Oh, but level 80’s have an abundance of skill points. Okay, you grandfathered them in. So now they STILL have all the skill points that your other lowbie characters need and no need for them.

ArenaNet didn’t think this through. The skill point spending is now unbalanced and the game economy is starting to tilt in an unfavorable fashion.

I don’t have to spend trait points for skills, so why should I have to spend skill points for traits. Keep skill points for skills, trait points for traits, and for the love of all things holy, stop messing with an already good system.

Meh. I mean. Like. Ya know. Why bother with customization at all since that’s not the whole point of the game? Maybe we should all just have stock armor. Girls = scant; Guys = boring. We’ll put Band-Aids on the females’ nips and give them a tissue for their loincloth and the guys can wear chrome, old-school suits of armor – all regardless of class or race. THAT way…we can just focus on the real point of the game, which is only fighting zombies … I mean … dragons.

Okay. So, they are removing the old options for town clothes. Anyone know if that means we’re getting new stuff? >_> * gets hopeful *

What I don’t understand about these mmoRPGs…is that the game designers don’t seem to quite grasp that when people actually use the game to, oh I don’t know, RP, they want to be able to really get into their character. Not all heavy armor wearing characters want to wear heavy armor ALL the time. And if they do, they don’t all want to look like the guy/girl next to them. So, yes, customization is a big deal.

I can’t help but wonder if they don’t already have something like that in place by seeing how well it sells in the gem store. They don’t get specific feedback, but that’s what forums are for!

What would be nice is if they sort of gave a preview of what they were planning to release on the website and get some feedback before they release anything. They could even gasp ask what their players want.

Those are very good points, and I agree with you. It would be nice to see armors looking similar on male and female – regardless of light, medium or heavy. (With obvious mods to the chest covering.)

The more gender-specific looking items could come with the town clothes.

I personally think the armor should look like armor. It should range from humble looking to epic looking and from well-done skimpy to fully clothed (without it looking like a nun/monk).

I think there should be some longer coat options, dress options, and just in general – way more of a variety to town clothes. When wearing town clothes, one should also be allowed to show a weapon since we are more than just mere citizens and are “heroes”. I also think should have the option to hide all of your amour pieces and weapons and not just the gloves, helm and shoulders.

Also, it’d be really cool if we could have an bandage looking set of “armor” (or even as a town clothing option) with helms, coats, etc. that looked like you’ve been injured.

Most of the cloth armor that is skimpy looks kittenty and not sexy. I think they need to improve the looks of all the armors in the light class and also give us so more options in general. I’m not saying I want a shoulder piece with a moving eyeball like on WoW, but hey, if the pauldron fits…

Also, yes, please, for the love of all that’s holy – give us some more options for town clothes!!
