What subscription fee?
Judging by what is said here:

The only cost is purchase for a new machine (or if you don’t upgrade from win 7/8.1 in the first year), and then in all cases once you have 10 on your system all updates are free for the life of the device.

As for Guild Wars 2 on Windows 10, for me with an AMD R9 290 things have been fine (I haven’t been anywhere really demanding such as a battle with very many players but things are almost indistinguishable from Windows 8/8.1) up until I put AMD’s newest beta drivers released a day or two ago on, then most of what you see on the character select screen is featureless black and it seems to be drawing the things you do see painfully slow. Use <alt><tab> to bring up the row of shrunken windows to select from and the character select stuff is being rendered correctly there albeit slowly. So basically it should be fine so long as you avoid the 15.7 drivers from AMD if you have one of their cards.

Sadly it takes courage on most such forums for those of us who don’t fall into the depressingly large category of people who in addition to being “over confident” also totally lack any shred of empathy or are self obsessed (very similar traits if not manifestations of the same thing), people with absolutely no social graces. I start to lose my inhibitions as I get frustrated/angry/annoyed which tends to be precisely the time I should shut my mouth (in terms of how I phrase what I say under the circumstances). If this was a bad game I simply would walk away and not bother with it, but despite being able to go several days without any desire to jump in and play (some confidence and people to play with regularly would likely change this) I love it to bits so to speak. I would like to be drawn into the game but these two major events so far are doing more to drive me away

This has been like the Halloween event for me to a large extent. A whole lot of confusion combined with
things that I had to do which weren’t always obvious and which were time restricted and in this instance
broken to boot. I have nothing apart from a few pieces of rubbish (such as candy cane) to show for the
Halloween event, and spent more time bored/frustrated than having any semblance of fun.
Looking at the new zone, I get the impression I am experiencing an open world persistent exploration
mode dungeon with no obvious reason for being there. If I had the self confidence to group and to get into
a good guild large enough to have a decent representation at all hours I might actually have fun.
My only dungeon experience is AC story mode, and looking at the chat channels and seeing higher and
higher fractal experience requirements when people call out for more group members I feel like I will never
see the inside of the new dungeon.
