I uninstalled Avg and chose to install avast instead and now its working like a charm. So all of u who have the same problem and using AVG Internet Security, uninstall.
I’v also have this weird problem and it came with some of the latest updates. And it’s not a faulty Component making this. My powersupplay gives me 800w and i think thats enough.

It is a pity, but i have to stop playing gw2 untill the they fix this lagging, it`s not playable anymore. From 50-60 fps, the game drop down to 12-15 after the latest patch.
Instead of GW2 you should blame you settings or your hardware, I’m playing with an ancient setup (e4300@3.2ghz, 3gb DDR2-800 RAM and a Radeon 6850) and I am at >>50fps when alone and even in massive WvW-fight hardly ever below 15fps with high specs except the culling options and textures.
you didnt read the whole contribution i made, as i said it whas ok bfore the patch but now its a mess. My spec is:
Intel Core i7-4770K (Haswell-DT, C0)
3500 MHz (35.00×100.0) @ 3800 MHz (38.00×100.0)
Motherboard: MSI Z87-S02 (MS-7821)
Chipset: Intel Z87 (Lynx Point)
Memory: 16384 MBytes @ 666 MHz, 9.0-9-9-24
– 8192 MB PC12800 DDR3 SDRAM – A-DATA Technology DDR3 1600

Graphics: EVGA e-GeForce GTX 760
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760, 2048 MB GDDR5 SDRAM
but it doesnt matter , i could have three of this rigs and still get low fps right now.
