Guild Wars 2

Hi GW2 community!

I am looking for advise on upgrading my PC. I am unable to participate in large WvW battles and large-scale events with +20 players. The FPS drops to 10 if there is alot going on. I have tried lowering the settings but this does not do much for me so I think its a processer problem. Unfortunately, I am a poor student and my budget is limited.

I am running:
Intel Core i3 CPU 530 @ 2.93 Ghz (quad processor)
6GB RAM
Geforce GTS250 videocard
Windows 7.

I have not tried to overclock yet because I am a bit scared of that, I am affraid to damage my PC (I dont know much about it though)

Does anyone have some advise of what I can do? Should I upgrade my pc? Should I tweak some settings?

What do you take into fractals?

Personally I take with me:

Weapons: Scepter/Dagger (switch to focus if need arises)

Armor: Full berserker gear with Scholar runes and sigil of battle/force

Traits: Fresh air build (0/30/0/10/30) with traits such as Bolt to the heart, Fresh air, Cleansing wave, Renewing stamina and evasive arcana.

Healing skill: Signet of restoration (heal on cast) .. this works great in combination with onomnom berry pie (66% chance of lifestyle on crit / +precision)

Slot skills:
Mist form (if i find myself stuck in some aoe bombardment this is awesome)
Signet of fire / Earth armor (i switch depending on the situation)
Arcane wave (used for damage and might stacking)

My playstyle is pretty simple. I start the fight by stacking might while damaging foes. That is : Dragons tooth -> Ring of fire -> Phoenix -> Arcane wave -> switch to earth -> Earthquake -> chruning earth. By this time I have 13 might might from my attacks alone but normally im sitting on 25 might already due to stacks gained from other teamembers.

The rest of the fight I try to stay out of air as much as possible. In fire I do try to stack might, whenever I crit I go back to air and unleash some burst. Out of air go to water to heal up with cleansing wave and cleansing wave from evasive arcana.

That pretty much sums it up

How do you play your ele?

I always carry a focus with me to equip whenever i know i gotta do some running. When i see danger i switch to my pistol again. Thats one way to do it… Or if it fits ur build: rune of the centaur/air to gain swiftness on heal

However it gets a bit lonely from time to time. I participate in WvW and Dynamic events but people dont really speak, so I am looking for a very casual-minded guild. I am 24, from the Netherlands and looking for a friendly, active guild. Most of the guilds I have joined were dead with nobody talking and everyone doing their own thing, I am looking for the opposite, a guild that wishes to explore the game with its members instead of just being fancy and going after the benefits of being in a guild.
