ArenaNet — how about a follow-up to this post with a response from a developer who has actually GONE OUT to the places being swarmed by bots and SEE FOR YOURSELF just how obscene it is.

I swear, if you actually PLAY your game and try to play in these areas, you’ll say, “Oh jeez, maybe we should step up the bans.”

Fact: You’re Not Doing REMOTELY Enough, ArenaNet.

The fact that your community moderators lock EVERY thread that discusses botting = proof that you’re deaf & blind to the effect that these bots are having on your servers.

If you cared and REALLY wanted them gone – they’d be gone.

Let’s not pretend otherwise.

The anti-bot code is, quite frankly, going to be the downfall of GW2. Once more people start to hit 80 and they stop receiving loot from kills – the threads about this issue will skyrocket.

I wish Arenanet would simply remove the code and start banning bots when they’re reported. Hire 1 developer per 10 servers whose ONLY job it is to follow up on these reports … get rid of the bots and let your players play how they wish.

If I want to stand in an area and kill centaurs for 3 hours and loot them — why shouldn’t I be able to? Has any other MMO ever implemented a code that impeded normal players from farming?
