My ‘World Event’ notice in the right top of the screen has been missing since Sept. 21st. It appears when I map to the event area at Splintered Coast wp or Brooloonu wp. Disapears from screen when I leave.
Yes it worked! Placing a low level gem to get the stats down allowed me to transmog to a lower level armor. The Krytan Armor set was soulbound to a character because of transmogging the set over armor for her so I had to use her to change out the gems and transmog over the armor of my engineer to get it to work. So if switching it to another character it has to be transmogged over armor that has not been equipped and made soulbound. Thanks all for the help.
You can use it over and over with transmog stones but I ran into the problem of the stats added by gems keeping me from transmoging to a lower level piece of armor. Wish they would make it like GW1 sets or the sets in HoM. Also it would be nice to have an option to take off stats if you are transmoging something.
This is the Krytan armor set bought with gems so it is not connected to the HoM. I know the change they made where the armor has to be removed to transmog it but that still doesn’t work. What stopped the process was it would not accept the higher gem and stats on the 76 piece and there is no option letting you remove the stats to transmog it to a lower level piece of armor.
I am confused. This armor skin says it is account bound. My issue is it is NOT completely account bound. I used it on my ranger continuing to transmog it up to 76 armor. Now I want to use it on my 55 Engineer but it won’t transmog down due to the gem stats on the piece it is on. There is no option to remove these stats so it will transmog to a lower piece. Therefore this skin is not account bound because I can only use it on my 80 ranger or wait until my engineer is high enough to use the same level stats. Even then I am not sure it will transmog to another character’s armor because the piece it covers says Soulbound. Am I missing something here and doing something wrong?
Got it! Today Oct. 2 was the first day I made the lvl 80 armor. The patch notes for Oct. 1 state that equipped armor can no longer be transmuted. I unequipped the armor and was able to transmute to KAS. Maybe I have been bugged with my crafted stuff and needed to un-equip it for transmutation all along. Anyway it works by taking it off then transmuting. Thanks all for the help.
No, you double click on the KAS set to use it the first time then you have to use transmutation stones to re-skin more armor with it. I have never been able to use a transmutation stone to re-skin self crafted armor with anything. Even HoM reward armor won’t re-skin my self crafted armor.
My Krytan Armor Skin has never transmuted over something I have made as a leatherworker. I am now making 80 lvl pieces better than any drop I have but can’t use the KAS no matter which transmutation stone I use. Has anyone had this problem or is the transmutation set up to not work on your self crafted armor?
I just went there to finish the map and couldn’t even see the challenge. One player came in and I asked him if he could see the challenge and he could not. He did reply that he had done it before. I am on Northern Shiverpeaks. This challenge is all I need to finish map.
