I use power vit toughness accessory(dolyak runes for armor). For weapons I go Ax/focus and staff with endurance on weapon swap on the staff and focus. I use a +5% damage on the ax because I cant think of anything better. I bunker very well with this and full Pet utilities, and can almost always win 1v1, very quickly too.

I tried a minion based neco in Spvp, and was pleasantly surprised. I used a combo of a few builds posted on the boards here, (spite 20, deathmag 30, blood mag 20 staff/ax-focus) used power/tough/healpow equip. all utils and elite where minions.

What I noticed is that when the pets actually attacked my target when I first used ax 1 (maybe a bit under half the time), I completely melted almost every person I focused(combo of pet dmg and my own). If the person did not kill the pets, there was almost no hope for them. The build was also quite survivable as well.

As a note, this is my very first stint at Spvp in this game whatso ever. I played a lot of rift PvP a while back, but a still new in GW2.

My recommendation for people having trouble is to kite people in 1v1 if they dont attack your pets. Use sigils that give energy back on weapon swap and roll when big attacks come your way.

Biggest weakness is condition removal. Died a time or two from a well placed root—>100 blades, or heartseeker combo. I just took this as par for the course as PvP generally has a rock scissors paper deal going on.

My only complaint for my first try at Spvp is the stealth. It seems like it lasts forever, and is up too often. Id survive a thiefs initial onslaught only to get him to 3/4 health and he’d stealth. Then come out like 10 secs later start his combo again, only to have me get him to 1/2 health then he’d stealth and disappear never to return.

I straight up quit the game for about a week and a half now because of this. Feels pretty good after this the capstone of all the kittenyness Anet created recently. I think I might stop playing for good. My only regret is that my $60.00 went to liars. No you cant have my stuff, will prob send it to a friend that for some reason still wants to play.

Should be a 5min fix. Actually it should have never made it into the live game at all, it is plain incompetence to the point that someone needs fired imo.

Sounds mean but in my line of work if I pissed off so many customers Id be kitten canned instantly.

I usually don’t complain about things, sure some stuff from the previous event pissed me off, but I didn’t feel the need to complain. With that out of the way, I just need to get this off my chest.

Whoever designed/approved the fractals of the mist deserves a swift kick in the nuts.

Im not a guy who makes games, but even I know that a system that requires 3 of something to be completed (thats 4 load screens minimum) simply cannot have no way of reentering upon disconnection, or a random rage quit on the team(or even worse a griefer team leader shunting everyone else to LA).

How did this get through into the live game? Was this not beta tested before release? Anyone with 1/3 of a brain should know how utterly stupid this system is.

Im still on lvl 1 not because of bad skills on the pugs I join, but because I have yet to complete 3 in a row without a DC or a rage quit(also 2 instances of obvious griefing).

On top of all this the ONLY way to get the best equip for WvW I have to do this kitten dungeon. I’ll never get it at this rate because I cant even get passed lvl 1 (rings dont drop till 10).

PS I hear the no waypoint, no repair RNGfest thing may make it into other dungeons(which I enjoy), you bet your kitten I will be quitting this game if that happens, because it is plain not fun.

I saw someone in medium armor(thief) with a cowboyish looking hat. My question is where do I find such a hat? I googled it and the answer was AC dungeon, but when I looked there the hat was more of a “musketeer hat” and not the the “whole brim down” style wide brimmed hat.

I was hopeing for a medium armor type so I could play a thief with it, but I’ll settle for light armor mesmer If I must. Thank you guys so much for the help by the way.

Im looking for a zorro style mask(for female character)? One that dosent take up the whole face like the mesmer starter masks? It dosent have to be exactly like zorro’s

If yes, where would I find one? Earliest level possible please if there are multiple.
