Imagine that you are a game producer. You’ve worked for years to make this new game and you want people to play it. You then find out that some of the people playing your game have invalid accounts, which means you did not get paid for that account.

Are you going to let those accounts remain active? I doubt it. In essence, the account was stolen from you.

I can see why they are closing those accounts. I can also see why they are not reinstating them even if the end user is obtaining a new serial code. The original account is fraudulent, and in the long run it is better to close it off and not allow it to be accessed again. The end user should start off with a brand new account that has no bad marks on it.

Sorry but i do not agree with what you are thinking, if i’m a producer, I will give my customers chance, because even I don’t, Fraudulent users can always like you say start off again and use stolen credit card and create fraud account to play again. The cycle no matter what will repeat. But if 50% of the chances were cases of victim, and they buy serial code just to play again. I would have earn from those customers “now”, instead of losing them all. In the long run, when you treat your customers good, they will treat you good as well.

The main problem I have now is, if I can’t restore my account, what about my working serial code that I have bought again and register it under my old account? Can I get a refund for it? I seriously do not wanna start all over again from level 1.

Thanks for the update! I see now that I belong to the group of “Account closed for payment fraud; will not be reinstated.” Incident: 121027-001488

I saw from one of your reply that it could be because the reseller that I bought from charge-back on the credit card they used to pay for the game. However, I bought from the reseller because it advertised on their website that they are professional MMO online site selling legit keys with positive testimonials posted on the main page. I am now still in the midst of trying to get a refund from them…

While waiting, I bought a new Serial Code directly from GW2 website 2 days ago to try to get my account back because I spend quite a lot of time with the game and have grown very attached to the characters that I have created. I also wanted to enjoy the great Halloween event but could not partake in it since it is ending very soon…

So since I have already bought and applied the new Serial Code to my existing account successfully (at least there was no error when I applied the code on top of my account) and my account is still blocked, what are my options now? I really want to continue playing with my current account and have received no reply from Support so far whether I would be unblocked… :-(

I’m having the same situation with you bro. Saw other post that I am able to re-gain access simply by adding a new code. Tried it and still suspended.(did not get any error too) May we know what are the options here? Can we get a refund or are you willing to give us another chance to gain access to our old account? I have no idea, i asked gaile about the serial code etc, but he did not answer me. Still waiting for support to give me a reply. They just updated my support ticket to Duplicate but did not reply to my serial code question.

Hi gaile, can you please let me know is it possible to get back my account since I have register new serial code to that account. I haven’t got any reply from support regarding the serial code or the account.

I seriously love to play this game, and yes I bought from 3rd party website but only because the website has good review for weeks, that’s why I thought that website can be trusted.

May I know why I cant reinstate? I am a victim of the fraud cdkey. I have already register a new cdkey to that account. what happen to that cdkey now? I got suspended due to fraud since 22 oct. I have added a new serial code 2 days ago, but i’m still suspended. Can any support help out? it’s been 1 week since I have been suspended.

I was suspended on 22 oct 2012. Got a reply from support and say Account Blocked due to Payment Fraud, so i went and bought a new serial code and added it to my account, but it is still suspended. It has been more than 24 hours.. May I have some help here?

I was suspended for more than 5 days due to fraud seller of the serial code, but I have already added new serial code and I’m still suspended, submit a ticket 24 hours ago.. but still no reply from them…
