Okay, exiting Precision X & RTSS (RivaTunerStatisticsServer – on screen display for framerate, etc) fixed my issue. Once I narrowed it down to the RTSS, I saw that changing the otion from “raster 3d” to “vector 3d” in the RTSS allowed me to access the game. Maybe this will help you? Do you have Fraps, or any OSD running? Try exiting/uninstalling & see if that helps. My crash dump looked identical to yours, almost, and I got hung up on the same step in the gw2 -diag. I hope this is helpful.

I set my profile for each game in the Nvidia CP, but in-game I use V-Sync & put everything on Ultra, but set “Reflections” to “Terrain & Sky Only”, and “Shadows” to “High”.

FPS: almost solid 60.1 (except in huge server load where it will go between low 50 to 60)
