Hey all,

For those of you that tired to use the -perfdebug command last night, can you confirm that the .dat file that should be found in the profiles folder is not there for me please.

Hey there!
There is no subfolder there for me either (I use Vista SP2 X64 though).

BTW.:
Dearest Tech Support!
I’ve most recently bought the VGA (upgraded from 9600 GT to this baby), to an Ati HD 7750 (Gigabyte), and the game FPS consistently drops low in most areas (tested Human starting zone, Lion’s arch, and Mists).
- I’ve the most recent drivers on everything, as far as I know, and I keep my OS up-to-date!
- I’ve tested the game graphics settings on different presets as well, as on custom settings, and my FPS always drops bellow 25, no matter which option I set!
- I used CPUID Hardware Monitor to investigate a possible overheating issue (though I have custom cooling on a generally low temp CPU, and my Cooler Master chassis use 2 additional Fans to dissipate heat from the case!), I did not find any issues in this regard!
- I used Intel Burn test and FurMark simultaneously to stess my PC, it was working like a charm through the whole procedure!
- I did try the suggestions you’ve sent me in the automated reply from the tech support ticket system, but they does not seem to help either!
- I have 12.8 CAP 2 profiles installed.
I’ll upload the guild wars 2 test file, so any1 can see if there is any mess around that report!

Extremely useful topic, ARENANET could possibly send an in-game mail to starter players , so they can read this info dump from start!

I had to discover all these features by myself, it took me quite some time (till I’ve reached lvl 30 W/ my ranger, prolly 25h in-game), so this could help all the (non-forum-dweller) players!

PS.: The Link in the 5.th point is broken, could you please fix it?

CPU: Intel G850
VGA: 9600 GT 1024MB (driver version: 306.02)
Mem: 2*4GB Samsung DDR3 1333
Platform: Vista SP2 x64 Updated

Running on “best performance” preset

FPS issues (ie.: FPS lower than 25) came up so far in the Charr Capital, and in Mists PvP.

EDIT Sept.08 .: I’ve most definitely identified the effects causing severe FPS drops: Rain (like in human starting zone around the earth elemental or Battle of Kyhlo) and Fog effect (like in Norn starting zone or Forest of Niflhel).

Thanks for the awesome work lads, keep it up!
