Reading around the forum, people with high end overclocked desktops are lagging in WvW. I don’t think the laptop you are thinking of buying has been invented yet

It is worth trying, and if it does not work, turn it back on. I saw improvements in some of my games when I did.

Could you turn off hyperthreading?

By default an i7 is a quad core that shows up with 8 threads. If this is your current case then the game is basically running on a 1.2 GHZ horse power. Try to turn off hyper threading and your cpu power in this game should double… Usually this can be done through the bios, but I am not sure if your laptop will present that option(mine did not)
