I’ve recently decided to leave my dying guild and am currently looking for a new group to enjoy the game with. I’ve played since BWE1 and GW1 before that since the first year of it’s release. I currently sit around 6.7k ap and have 8 level 80’s. I usually play late nights, with occasional long sessions when I have time. I mostly do open PVE and dabble in WvW but have wanted to get back to doing fractals and dungeons along with the new guild content, all things I’ve missed out on without an active group to play with. I’m also interested in learning some PvP but I have no experience there.
I’m looking for a medium to large guild that I can enjoy the game with and can help me become reacquainted with the aspects of the game I’ve been missing out on. I’d expect a friendly and mature adult community, methods for communicating both in game and out and the open possibility to after some time be offered promotion within the guild if I prove to be a worthy asset.
I will not be auto joining any groups, I feel that a decision on a group of people I will be spending much of my in game time with to be to important to join just anyone.
I think the bigger issue is the number of people not getting the chests rewarded for previous rank.
The sooner everyone realizes the chests or keys you buy are essentially the games version of scratch off lottery tickets the sooner we can stop seeing daily posts on someone crying about this. Sometimes you get lucky, I for one bought 5 keys and got a BL trader item the first day they came out. Mostly you can expect mostly useless junk. Accept that you KNEW it was a gamble and the problem isn’t the system but your expectations.
For everyone that argues that it drives up the cost of storage I’d like to point out that you can join up to 5 guilds iirc creating a personal guild and buying influence to get storage isn’t that expensive, it’s even cheaper if you dedicate all of those influence bags you get as drops.
I play on a laptop most often and have no trouble running on high-max settings. I know players that don’t get as good performance on desktops.
