my hunch is they only reset your MMR which is a hidden value, but since games played stats wasn’t reset it will already register over 10games to start listing.

Unfortunately it’s not as easy as this and I forgot to mention that before the reset I had a ton of matches and was pretty high on the leaderboards before decay dropped me to the 500ish or something by the time of the patch which reset the rating.

A couple weeks ago the solo queue leader board rating was reset. At first I was under the impression that like before it would take 10 matches to even show up on the leaderboards.

Later that night I found out that this wasn’t the case any longer. There were plenty of people, including some friends of mine, who proceeded to get listed on the leaderboards after just a few matches.

A couple days later I started to play solo queue matches myself. While my time hasn’t allowed me to play a whole lot of them, every now and then I have been playing a match and I believe I am now just a little under the 10 matches you previously needed to be listed.

Now here is the thing: I have won every single match so far, I get matched with the top 100 players and yet I am still not showing on the leaderboards at all.

So what I am wondering is whether I am possibly only matched with top 100 players due to my odd hours and whether it is possible that you guys reset the rating, but did not reset the actual probability value for a lack of a better term.

Does the system after the reset possibly take into account what your rating should be based on the deviation from before the reset?

I just can’t seem to understand how friends of mine with 5 or 10 matches more than me and a win rate of about 60% are still among the first 500 when they haven’t been playing in over a week just as much as I can’t understand how they got on the leaderboards after only 2 matches, when apparently my 100% win rate still isn’t enough for me to even be on them at all.

I am in no way blaming somebody, nor am I concerned about my rating, but I have a fascination with numbers and systems and hate not understanding the principle.

A clarification and possible explanation would be much appreciated. This is for the european solo queue by the way.

why just engi… mesmer and guardian get perma vigor right now from just 5 into a trait line. Perma vigor should never be available for such a small investment. Maybe make it a 25 trait which would force Guardians to go more into the vitality tree and Mesmer have to go more into the precision.

You definitely have a point that the investment has to be considered too small for these respective traits, but on top of that I find it odd that a defensive boon is placed in an offensive tree for the mesmer. Especially since dodge rolls are translated directly into potential damage within that tree itself (might be the reason for that choice who knows).

The dueling tree has an abundance of crit chance, crit damage, vigor and extra clones that can serve all kinds of purposes all in one tree with just a 20 point investment.

Imagine if feline grace, for example, was placed in the critical strikes trait line.

Love the paralyzation sigil in that build. Nice waste of a sigil slot, since neither Head Shot nor Tactical Strike are affected by it unless you play WvW.

I couldn’t care less about mogow’s age, but anybody who thinks one shotting people has anything to do with skill is just not there yet. Yeah trooper is a big fan of playing broken professions thats why he plays warrior and thats why [Van] was playing with necro instead of ele a few month ago when 2 ele was Meta.

Well, that argument pales compared to him outright making fun of people for complaining about broken builds and saying people should adapt and always play the strongest classes to win, because winning is all that matters.

We heard that on his 1v1 tournament stream, of which there probably still is a recording, where people were complaining about Phantasm mesmers and I have read it in map chat as well, when discussions about the current meta have arised.

So yeah, I am not criticizing his opinions on the matter, but you probably shouldn’t be insinuating that a certain team is sweet talking developers into balancing the game in their favor, when you are an advocate of the whole “stop whining and just reroll to the new fotm” argument.

Especially when that team still deemed it necessary to adapt and reroll in the first place.

I believe so too, unless I overlooked something. I had 25 might stacks, 25 vulnerability stacks on the target, max damage spec with 25 bloodlust stacks and I made sure to stay at 7+ ini for the hit.

Some beneficial mesmer bugs are:

- Phantasms casts are supposed to connect in order to spawn a phantasm, yet they ignore blocks of any kind

- Duelist’s Discipline trait turns every single Duelist’s Unload projectile into a 100% projectile finisher (instead of the regular 20% chance)

- Overwriting own clones counts as “killing them” for triggering traits

- Swap breaks stuns

- Illusion of Life ignores poison (only rezz utility to do so)

I understand your argument, however, there are quite a few beneficial bugs in the game for the mesmer and nobody seems to care about getting those fixed. Why is that?

Any bug fixes automatically translates to the class becoming stronger. The mesmer class definitely does not need to become stronger, so if you want bug fixes, nerfs will have to follow.
