WvW needs a much MUCH more advanced player contribution and scoreboard system. Everyone should be able to see their own, or anyone elses contribution to the battle.
Good idea, but please no emphasis on kill/death ratio. Games with that usually tend to be fragfests where teamgoals are secondary.
Things I’d like to see for example is time spent in (conquered) objectives (in combination with a motion-check) to reward defenders/patrollers as well. It’s no use conquering areas while you lose those behind the lines/other side of map.
and no i have no disrespect for anyone not guilded or small guilds….just know whats going on
Logging in on the provided public teamspeak to find out you’re the only one, communicating players usually being “lone wolves” (if there is any communication at all), etc.
I think people sticking to communication inside their guild/alliance are more of the problem than the improvised parties/solo-players, the latter are usually trying to cope with things. There is a reason that in modern wars communication is one of the first services to be targeted.
I was lucky that a solo-player took the time to give me a guided tour in what’s what and what to do. I’m quite certain WvW-newbies have no clue what to besides being overwhelmed by it all.
dont be doing jumping puzzles or walking a dolyak 50 yards or mining.
If WvW was intended as PvP only, why is there (solo-)PvE content anyway?
