Logistically speaking, I think it is sort of unfair for us to ask for everything all at once. As many people have said, Arena Net would have to make sure that they can profit off something like this before they can fully support it.

I think a great way to get the ball rolling would be to add an NPC to the coming Guild Halls which provide guild leaders with the ability to challenge other guilds to a GvG. The size of the fight, ranging from 5v5’s to 20v20’s, could be selected while interacting with the NPC and the fight could take place in an instanced form of the OS (that way no new maps need to be developed). By being able to select the size of the fight, no guilds are excluded from the game mode. Upon accepting a guilds challenge to GvG, guild leaders could invite ‘x’ amount of players to a squad and enter the OS. If Arena Net wished to make money off this game mode, they could simply charge guilds a monthly gem fee to have the NPC present in their guild hall (sort of like how private arenas work now). As long as guilds have the ability to challenge other guilds regardless of their server/tier (and maybe one day their continent) I’m sure it would be a hit.

If the idea became more popular things like spectator mode, new maps and a leaderboard could be added later.

Just my 2 cents.

u r still asking for too much. ur best bet to start w/ is to have a single arena for your 20v20s. at the very best, u can try to get them to make an arena out of obsidian sanctums dueling area, or where ever these fights take place. likely as a custom arena or something

got to think, whats the smallest amount of work devs could do for you to get the most out of it. from what i’m seeing, its something like this.

I think we pretty much said the same thing here. It’s just i had the added bit about adding an NPC and allowing for a challenge system. As far as maps go, I think most GvG’ers would be happy if the devs just copy pasted the OS into an instanced arena where fights could take place. This prevents people from trolling GvG’s, allows for intra-server and inter-tier fights and makes it seem a little more “official.”

We are currently looking for guardians, warriors, elementalists, necromancers and memsers interested in joining an organized and skilled WvW guild. You are also expected to mold your builds in a way that benefits the group as a whole (but it is preferred that you use our builds, although we are always interested in comparing builds as yours may be more beneficial). Players from any server are welcome (we can help pay for your transfer) but we require you to use TeamSpeak and also be a level 80.
Once this group has formed, our main focus will be zerg busting and GvG’s so if this interests you please mail me (Aldix) in-game!

So, I was told that there was an FC zerg attack our SM. The SM we have held for like, over a month basically. ANet needs to rename it Madness Castle. SM is a misnomer at this point. What I found when I left the BL though was not an FC Zerg, but rather a disjointed harem of monkeys flipping about in omegas like they had any business knocking on our front door. FC, please don’t come unannounced. As you noticed, we wipe the floor with intruders. Some of us seem to take the Castle Doctrine (see what I did there? RL Laws vs GW2 TROLOLOLOL) seriously. I’m fine with politely telling you the same thing I tell the Mormons who knock on my door “Pedal (Golem in your case) away fast because I like naughty words and you don’t want me angry little man/men”.

I applaud you guys on trying to take SM. Good onya. Its only Sunday though. Don’t get your hopes up that youll muster much awesome by Friday. Keep in mind the limitations of your server. GoM has a crew for ALL three shifts, and I happen to have a wonky schedule allowing me to work almost all three shifts.

Like Santa Claus, God, and Ceiling Cat, I’m watching you, FC.

Listen here you festering bag of monkey kitten, i love how you talked kitten when ALL your did the ENTIRE SM fight was build siege. No tactics or anything whatsoever. We wiped the floor with you INCLUDING your siege like 3 times and you came back and jsut built more siege. GG man, i wish i could learn to use AC’s like you, im sure we coudl take FC to tier 1 with that. Next time try using some actual tactics in the open field and see how you do. And if you reall do think you have superior tactics, try GvGing [Deth] with equal numbers WITHOUT siege and see how you kittening do.

When five people (what we had in SM when your attack started) are defending a tower/keep/castle, ACs aren’t just smart, they’re imperative. Sorry. Thats a big word. They’re REALLY important. A well placed set of ACs can wipe your silly little omegas. Remember last week when SF sent 40 Omegas on us and we still kept SM? How did we do it? Magic? Voodoo? Hacking? Tom Foolery? I’ll hand that one off to another game I enjoy and my favorite toon Lux: “With superior tactics!”

Looking to join a server with a great community and wants to improve? Then FC is for you!
Being the leader of one of the larger WvW guilds ([Deth] Deathclock) on the server, I can tell you that our current WvW situation is in rough shape. We as a server simply lack the coverage and numbers to compete with almost all the other servers and I’m hoping that this thread will help to change that. As a server, we are not looking to receive a ton of transfers and march up the tiers, we just want to be competitive and stand a fighting chance against the servers we are match up against. To do this, I feel like we could use ~2 more NA WvW guilds and 1 more Oceanic guild to help in both the offensive and defensive aspects of the game.

FC may lack a large population but the community is great. We run a server TS that all are welcome to use, have a server website (www.fcgw2.com) and have next to no drama server wide. So if you are looking for a “project server” and a place where you will feel welcomed and appreciated consider giving FC a shot!

LK did its first GvG today. after a month of starting hardcore WvW we felt confidant that we were ready for GvG :P.

needless to say..we got owned. i am not embaressed to admit it. from a guild who rarely wipes in even numbers combat (or even if we have less numbers). the GvG experience was very humbling. so this shout out goes out to DETH for there fair play in the GvG. and sportsmenship even after they kicked our kitten LK is now going to work its kitten off and perpare for future GvG’s so it wont be so one sided :P
