Guild Wars 2

Hi! Ever since GW2 came out I’ve played on mediocre specs and used to low graphics and lag in populated areas but recently I basically bought a new rig that’s atleast 5 times better than my last one and got kind of confused since I still have bad fps in populated areas such as Lion’s Arch.

Now Im not running on the highest settings, some stuff mixed medium-high and the only thing that’s the highest quality is the character details/textures. Im not completely sure but it feels like even though I have those settings, I should be getting better performance.

Current specs:
GTX 1070 8b, i7-5820 @ 3.30hz, 16gb RAM

My current fps when standing at the bank in LA is roughly around 35-45 and it feels like it should be better. I know that the game is cpu heavy so I wanted to ask you if my cpu is too weak or maybe not working properly for the game?

And also feel free to post your settings/performance and specs, seen a couple of people running similar rigs as me and getting better performance on some other games.

Hey there! I mainly play warrior during my game time, PS to be specific and Im looking mostly for a raiding guild that can help me get into it more. I have watched a few raid guides and have only had the chance to finish a raid ONCE, W3 to be specific. Im 21 years old atm so I consider myself a mature player.

I have no problem with communication, love to listen/ talk and im a overall a nice guy. Just want to find a nice guild that I can raid with since Im having a hard time finding anything solo in the game. Sadly I work in shifts so I’ll only be able to play (Shift 1) 3:00-10:00 Pm every other week and and (Shift 2) only on Fridays since I have the whole day off+ the weekends.
