i was unaware that the launcher had a fullscreen mode.

i tired CMD+V (ctrl+V on windows)

i also noticed that i cant use TAB to go from the account name field to the password field.

After having my account issues resolved i still noticed that i was unable to paste my password into the launcher. Typing it manually worked fine, but when pasting it from the clipboard it seemed to add additional characters. This behaviour discourages the use of a password management software and thus encourages the use of insecure, easy to remember passwords instead.
