Same here. i’ll try to be specific!
It used to be that it would instant crash if I even opened the TP in an area that wasnt empty (Like random outposts, and pickup in say.. Ebonhawke, but since their “fix” of the problem, it does this instead. Constant loading ring and freezes on close.
Never had to shut down my entire computer though, but I DO have to use the activity monitor to force quit the game, as the standard "X’ing doesnt work.
I’ve found I can use it- as you said- in near empty/medium conditions, but never in a heavy populated area. Sometimes it helps if i turn the graphics all the way down to “best performance” but as of the last few weeks, ive been having more luck with “auto detect”.
I can almost alway use the TP in the Canal Ward of Lions Arch, but move anywhere else and it gets frozen.
I’ve had to untag the keyshortcut for the TP, for fear of crashing. (Though ive found if i close the TP very fast after opening before the loading wheel comes up, the game resumes as normal, albeit the gamma makes the screen go way dark and i have to manually adjust it again.
This is most frustrating when doing world boss events, and somebody out of courtesy drops a TP merchant in the middle of a mob, and i have to forcequit, missing the boss.
I hope this gets fixed.. I know Mac fixes can take a little while, but the TP is a pretty big part of the game, and it’s frustrating to have to go to the middle of Gendarran Fields to sell some items on the TP every time. Please A-net <3.

omg, i didn’t even think about the possibility of it not being added to Mac, since the core game is already on there. PLEASE A-net! <3
So if the expansion is lvl 80 only, but they introduced a new profession, the revenant, will that mean the only way to level is by playing from the beginning of the original? (Even though canon-ly, the profession doesn’t even exist until the expansion) For example, Even though Rytlock is allegedly “the first revenant” will he (/enemies) be re-rolled from the start as one? Or will i magically be one before he even discovers it, and treat it like nothing, despite zero enemies/allies sharing the proffesion until i make it to the jungle?
This has been happening to me too recently! Nothing seems to be a specific cause.. the gamma just goes SUPER dark for no reason, or with the TP. Never used to happen, but now it happens several times per play period.
