Here’s my Elementalist (definitely in progress)!

Yes, finally, lol. Thank you very much. I just feel bad for anyone who is also a lower level. The level 80 raise does nothing.

Well I picked them off one by one and used the guards help at the first gate opening. That helped with most of them. The problem was at the very end and I had a veteran and 6 enemies left. I ran to the beginning of the quest to see if that would rez some party members and it did. They only took out one member before being killed again. So I did the same thing and when I came back the party members were revived and they were still fighting, but it said I completed the quest. Everyone died AGAIN, but I was just happy that it was over with. I still say this is terribly flawed. If I hadn’t had the patience to pick them off and then wait for NPCs to revive then I wouldn’t have ever completed it. I just say good luck to anyone else who has been having trouble with this.

I’d very much appreciate some help. A buddy of mine was going to help me do it, but we quickly realized that Anet screwed everyone who isn’t normally a level 80. I’ll try picking them off one by one, but I’m just worried about pulling the others while in the process. Thanks for the advice, maybe I’ll beat it eventually, but it’s very discouraging not being able to clear this.

I really feel the people who feel the need to laugh at people finding the content difficult should just not comment … seriously, you’re amazing, bully for you. Why make the less experienced players feel bad about finding content designed to be challenging for lower levels challenging?

Because the NPCs did all the work. I had my game muted and missed some of the talking, so I stopped and scrolled up to see what i had missed. When I read everything, I realized the Dolyak mission had started (didn’t expect that), so I ran to catch up and they had killed all of the first group. I am pretty sure you can afk the instance and still succeed.

My NPCs were helpful up until we entered the gate. After that they all died and that was even with me trying to help heal them. They were pretty much useless after the first big wave of enemies.

I definitely think they should scale it to your current level, especially if they are wanting you to solo this with basically useless NPCs. It’s very frustrating trying to pick off the veteran, but then lesser enemies get pulled from afar and end up in a circle around you.

I’m having some serious problems trying to beat this event. I’m a level 23 Ele and even though they boost you up to level 80, it doesn’t seem to help much. During the second wave with the first veteran is when I usually die because I try to take him out but all my helping NPCs end up dying and then I’m left by myself. I’ve made it to the end with only 3 enemies left, but again, I was left by myself and killed. It’s very frustrating that even though you are raised to level 80 that this is still difficult. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m normally level 23 or what? But I’m just looking for some advice to try and clear this, but it’s seems impossible right now.

People need to remember that you might get lvled up to 80, but your gear is still lower level so you will have a harder time if you try these instances with lower level toons.

Lvl 80 content is designed for lvl 80 toons.

Well Anet shouldn’t level you up to level 80 if it’s not going to help you in instances. Rather they should just scale according to your level, especially since they are making you solo Ceremony and Acrimony. What’s the point in maxing you to level 80 when you’re a low level. It doesn’t help that much..

I’m having problems with this event as well. I’m a level 23 Elementalist, but it seems that all the NPCs die while I’m trying to take out the veteran and then everyone ends up ganging up on me. I tried picking the groups off one by one, but my NPCs go toward the mob.

I’m having a lot of problem with this as well. I’m only level 23, but even with the level 80 scale I’m still dying easily. I stay back and do damage, trying to take out the Veteran first, but all the NPCs die and I’m left by myself and they end up killing me. I tried to return to the checkpoint and see if I could revive any of the NPCs from far away, but the enemies automatically spot you and start attacking, it’s such a hassle. I almost beat it one time and only had 3 enemies remaining, but all the NPCs died so I was left to do it all on my own. I really wish they had just scaled it to everyone’s level. :/

I’m new to the game and before I started playing I watched a lot of videos and it seems jumping puzzles are a big thing in this game. I was just wondering how you go about getting to these? Do you find them randomly or are they events? I know some of the vistas require some strategic jumping. I’m just very confused on how you go about finding them. Any help is very appreciated!
