Any advice for leveling an engi on the note of them being good now in pve?

I tome leveled my engi from pvp tomes but imagine that a set up involving tools, explosions, firearms would work. I’d go for tools first to get streamlined kits for permanent swiftness, and then I’d probably go into explosives to get grenadier and the seeker rocket trait. Try to focus on hybrid damage gear if you can, that includes power precisions, condition damage. And yeah, basically grenades will be your main damage source.

Everyone seems to tome level things, I guess I should go to some pvp :P

It happens with any bundle from what I can tell! Including engineer kits.

I have filled a bug report for it. I was hoping by putting on here to get some feed back on if it is safe to continue to use the affected characters as I was quite enjoying levleing my engineer

Bump to see if anyone else has any more info on this. I can confirm thought it does seem to be happening on all bundles.

I really don’t want to stop with my engi as I’m really enoying him. Lets hope one of the mods can give us some info on this. It seems to be a bug with all bundles then.

My level 26 engineer is currently running around with a full set of skills, including elities due to an issue where equipping a kit unlocks all untility slots and elites. I noticed it and thought it was a UI bug and so tried equipping another tility in slot 3 (unlocks at 35 now). I was surpised to see that it slotted the utility. I noticed the same was happening with the elite slot ( unlocks at 40) and so tried it as well to see if it was behaving the same. So I tried slotting the mist fire wolf elite and it worked.

Obviously this bug is bypassing the unlocking system. I am not sure if it works with other equipables that work like bundles.

Also, I am unable to remove skills from the slots now so my engineer is now currently a walking exploit which makes me sad

Im having the same problem of it not being offered or able to speak to Majorly to enter it
