they seem like more of a passing thought than a core part of the game. never really elaborated on or even emphasized to use. 2 years in and I never see anyone try to combo
Combos are a core part of the game and what sets GW2 apart from alot of other games in its genre.
No Sir. the combo system idea is definitely not a new concept i can name a ton of MMOs with a combo system and dozens that implemented it much better.
FFXI for instance released in 02 and had a combo system where each party member had to skill at cretin times and places(IE: monk stands in front and skills, thief gets behind mob and sneak attacks while a black mages has had the appropriate spell casting and timed it perfectly at end of combo for a massive damage increasing magic burst.)

Before the haters start in telling me not to use minions, go post somewhere else. I know MM isn’t the best class in the game but its one of my favorite 80’s and i have them all. Besides it has some good strengths when it comes to farming or CC, and is actually quite a challenging job to play if you do it right.
Since launch Minions have gotten more debuffs than improvements on the minions themselves and the traits related to minions. If we’re such an inferior build why do we always get shafted? Still waiting on a dismiss button and AI improvements but it seems like the community along with the developers want to shy us away from a minion build.
I have never heard of MM being overpowered so why not beef us up a little bit? if they think that will make it to easy i can assure you my war takes 1/10th of the skill to play and has much more of a kick. And if they really didn’t intend for people to play MM replace all of those skills.
I’m logging in just to buy a little something from the gem store. I think they deserve a reward lol.
Are these the same writers from season 1? GW2 story has been pretty bland so far in the past IMO. This update actually had me drawn in till i finished it. Well made multi layered map, NPC characters that actually feel like players that cast time warp on me, portal the party and do more than the standard 1 point damage.
I think they nailed it, this is what I’ve been wanting. I want to brag about the story but don’t want to ruin anything for anyone on this one. I love the more darker tone to it.
It will be in the gem store next week for 2000 gems.
lol why do people keep defending gw2 in this? I love this game too, but after 2 years of promises and content being predominantly temporary, while also being just a rehash of last years same content I’ve given up hope. I know a lot of you are still new and it seems like there is so much more but soon you will hit the same wall.
LS isn’t working, does anyone honestly know what the hell is going on? besides a giant sylvari brought robots and ufo’s to kill everyone? I would assume one would need an actual story to create a living one.
have legendary and several lvl 80’s, i beat the game i guess.
Not in the foreseeable future, maybe never.
this not true?
I’m all for the casual player, but i have 7 lvl 80s all in ascended/exotic gear and 2 legendarys, and Ive seen the sights, trust me. Am i supposed to just quit now? At what point will they be punishing the core gamers in favor of the casual? running the same dungeons over and over gets old.
I can see your point, but it could be worked around by not having mob evasion scale after a certain point couldn’kitten not sure how they pull it off in other games from the tech side.
Honestly they could just load them down with hp and give them a damage increase and i would be happy. i love gw2 and i want it to do well….. but I’m so bored

It gets boring after you have your characters leveled and equipped. I think 80+ maps would help change a lot of problems. think if there was a map of say level 85-90 mobs you need parties to farm for rarer drops, maybe obsidian shards or increased key drops or new items whatever. it would keep people interested and keep people grouping. I really liked that aspect of final fantasy XI.
