ok here is a video.. i only got it twice in 3 minutes..
well the last half minute is of me training my fox mini.. couldn’t resist
^_^ dive happens at 1:55i don’t think there is any ‘certain’ way of activating it
Thanks for the video.
The animation is the same used when you are swimming on surface, and move the camera while holding rmb in order to dive.
I could replicate this animation while I’m half inside the water and using the dive command, however I’m pretty sure it happened once out of the water, jumping from a bridge.

Are you referring to dodge jump by any chance? The salto when you jump and dodge at the same time?
No. When pressing jump+dodge the char will make a frontflip.
I tried many times, using jump, dodge, and other keys combinations, checked on config settings, and could not replicate the jump intentionally.
Perhaps a developer could help us to clarify the conditions that trigger the animation, or someone that figured it out.

Hi all.
Playing Guild Wars 2 over the last months, I noticed something that intrigued me. About 1 or 2 times in the entire play time, my character randomly performed a dive animation. I’m not talking about jumping from high locations where the character switch animation in mid air (like a free fall), but on a normal dive (1 or 2 meters), where the character starts the animation before jumping and make a head dive animation.
My friend reported the same about 2 times at least, but we both have no idea whether it’s specific to a location, a bug, or requires some key combinations, but we know that such animations exist.
I found no information about this on wiki or over the internet. Anyone have any idea how to trigger the animation?
Shield is a good off-hand. Has a protection buff for party and skill 5 absorbs projectiles. I just hate sometimes when skill 5 pushbacks enemies.
I think the pushback effect should be added with a major trait, and cooldown a bit reduced.
Bump, happended twice today on Prosperity Waypoint in Dry Top.
I found a minor and not frequent bug that occurred for me twice on the past weeks. When the game is loaded after using a waypoint, the character got stuck in air at the spawn point, looping the falling animation, and could not move or use skills.
When I used the waypoint again, then it spawned with no issues.
It happened last time right now when using the Earthshake Waypoint in Frostgorge Sound. I don’t remember where it happened the first time, but was at a completely different location.
