How do you feel about the combat system?

Firstly,
since beta i’ve noticed the combat is Slow and Clunky
Skills took miliseconds to active even instant skills. Not instant.
Even sheathing weapon or by pressing ESC to cancel a skill aint instant.
My War would swing his sword once or twice after i hit Sheath Weapon less than a second ago. (Animation? Other games could do it instantly with animation totally cancelling whatever skills that is currently activated.)

This. So much this. I can’t begin to count the number of times I’ve barely survived some tough combat only to die because my character just has to do one more attack after I cancel my actions, thereby pulling a kittenload more mobs onto me. Usually by that time I’ve frantically pounded escape, which of course doesn’t work. What does work is bringing up the exit menu. The kitten exit menu comes up before my actions cancel.. it would be funny if it weren’t so frustrating.

I believe it was Neil Kaplan… he’s done a metric crapton of voice acting, including some of the characters in SWTOR and he was also Tychus in SC II.

You can probably hear Korukhan the most in Tychus… but he can do literally any type of voice, so it’s hard to pick him out in games sometimes.

Edit: He’s also (one of the) Optimus Prime voice actors

Game More Expensive Than Sub. MMO?

I’ve played many f2p games and this is easily the least manipulative of them all. You are given tons of starting bank space via the crafting storage, and you’re also given more than enough bag tabs and are even allowed to craft bags with the professions.

That’s TONS more freedom than typical f2p games give players. Be glad you don’t get ONE bag and the only place to acquire more is the store. I’ve played games where you get to have one character, and the endgame gear is locked behind store currency… I’ve even played games where you have a meta-resource that runs out as you play and then you’re forced to quit unless you BUY MORE. And don’t get me started on the games that make you buy your characters’ spells in the store… sheesh.

To contrast this, GW2 gives you store items as quest rewards. I’ve used a black lion key on a chest that contained another key, and so on until I opened around 6 chests. That’s not a manipulative f2p game at all.

Also, gold-to-gem trade. Enough said.
