Is the charr a dog or a cat?

I dislike these kind of questions.

A Charr is a Charr. A Norn is a Norn. An Asura is An Asura. An Argonian is an Argonian. An Iksar is an Iksar. A Turian is a Turian. I could go across many games. Obviously developers take an animal or mix of animals as a starting point then create something entirely different from them.

Or is there a thread asking what kind of animal an Asura is? That wouldn’t surprise me lol…

Cheeky Charr

It’s just starting to occur to me, sometimes I come back to my desk and find various Charr, including my own, in rather…Curious settings. Or more often I’m approached by random naked hairy mounds when in the Black Citadel or Lions Arch…Why I don’t know, but it is amusing.

My best example so far is when my friend joined me in a story instance, I went away to get a drink and come back to this beauty of a scene…

“Since the truce, Rytlock Brimstone has taken very kindly to the presence of his human allies…What Rytlock gets up to in his spare time, is Rytlock’s business.”

If i’m honest, I think Rytlocks subtle grin makes it all the better.

Anyone else have any of these slightly more promiscuous photos :P?

Hi all, hope everyone is enjoying GW2! Leave a message down the bottom, or PM on here. if interested! Peace! IGN: Tályk

Too long didn’t read
Me and a couple of friends just started a guild on the Blacktide server. We aren’t too concerned about numbers but I figured I’d post here in case anyone fits the boot and wants to hop on for a ride. We are all university students / working people, so we do have real lives to attend to and can’t be on 24/7. GW2 is our primary game at the moment, however. Enjoy XP/Karma/Gathering boosts and a friendly place to call home and help us grow!

Basic outline of what we look for
- Preferably 18+
- Happy to chat
- Relaxed
- Looking for fun, friendly atmosphere.
- English speaking. (Don’t have to be native, it’s just our common language)
- Awesome person.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO LOVE DETAILS!!

Who are we?

We are close knit guild of friends who play for fun, a good time and helping each other out. All from different backgrounds, studying / working in different fields. General interests of gaming, eSports, travel, music, art and general happy chatting.

What do we do? And what we can do for you!

Mostly, WvWvW, dungeons, PvE and festive events when they are up. We aren’t particularly serious in terms of tactics, especially being on Blacktide it’s not exactly the number 1 PvP server. We like to relax and have a good time! I would be happy to help people with leveling, questions and try and get the best experience out of Guild Wars 2 for you! We are quite excited to have a guild so we are constantly upgrading things and already have boosters available for people during WvWvW and general leveling.

Any requirements or limitations?

No, nothing in particular.
- If you want to represent other guilds that you are in, feel free, you can stay with us regardless.
- If you want to look for somewhere long term, and/or would like to play other games with us; we’d be more than happy to have you ! I’ve met some of my good friends through games!
- If you are a first timer to the game, we’d be happy to help you / teach you.
- If you play PvE quite a bit and feel you’d enjoy leading us in some dungeons, great! Just don’t be too serious!
- If you are looking for a social time, that’s fine too.
- If you have a busy life and can only get on a few hours, we’d love to have you.

HOWEVER, some preferences.
- Have some respect and be tolerant.
- English speaking. However, I’m a language student myself, so if you speak other languages we won’t be offended at all. But our common language is English.
- Relative maturity. (But still have a sense of humor).
- Preferably 18+ (or at least mentally), we are university students / working adults.
- Happy to chat about the real world.

Anything else?

We generally play from around GMT 6.pm -> Onward. We all have Steam so can be contacted on there almost any time. We play quite a bit of everything on weekends!
Most of us are leveling our alts but we have some maxed out characters.
Other games we play consists of DotA 2, Starcraft 2, AoE
We usually just use Skype, in-game chat, Steam or Facebook to get in-contact with each other. If people request it, we’d be happy to open a teamspeak.

Any questions, post on here, PM me. Or message me in game! (P,S, I LOVE DRAGONS <3 )

If you don’t want to join, see you on the battlefield!!!

What made you decide to play as a Charr?

I’ve got 4 characters. I’ve also got 4 Charr. I do miss my Sylvari from time to time though.

Love Charr to bits. The one liners you hear the NPC’s making are just brilliant, not to mention the beauty, majesty and somewhat weird cuteness that is Dinky. Whoever wrote that heroes dialogue was a genius, honestly.

As for their lore, I love it. Their story, how they are slightly mis-understood, since as you get to know them they can be just as cuddly and friendly as a curious Sylvari or just as cunning as an Asura. Also seems they can be fiercely loyal if you earn their full trust. Not to mention the regular moments of kittenery, (Rytlock fan-boy club). And their intense love for the whiskey and all things martial (and mystical in some cases). I can certainly relate to them :P.

As for legions, although I liked Ash Legion, I’m having a lot of fun with Blood Legion at the moment! Completely to my surprise as I really didn’t think I’d like it! The first story element left me feeling a bit like "well this is just typical “WE BEAT PEOPLE UP” kind of thing". But I stuck with it for a little longer and I’ve found your Warband members chat a lot more in Blood Legion, and there seems to be a bit more of a brotherly theme going on. I also like the backstory for each of my Warband members, I seem to have a theme of a Warband of “outcasts, but that’s okay to be an outcast, cause you’re one of us.” semi-quote Dinky chatting to Soure.

Long story short. I’m feeling the love, the pain and all the whiskey and meat a Charr could need. I’m very content :P.
