Guild Wars 2

I am looking for the ultimate support as a Guardian in WvWvW. I’ve bitten the bullet and accepted my role as a support. I enjoy the back-lines, the heavy armour healing, the utilities. It’s a comfortable role for me to play in.

I’m currently very attracted the Mace / Shield combo, and want to find a build that uses the Guardian’s full potential in WvWvW support abilities, as well as this weapon set.

Question is: is it viable? Has it been done successfully before? Is the Mace / Shield combo not the best for what I’m looking to do?

So I’ve been rolling with this below pictured build for a while now and no I do not even have full exotic gear let alone ascended gear so let’s get that out of the way to begin with.

I am looking for advice on where to go from here. I am going to invest in a full set of Knight’s armour with zerker runes for the survivability / damage in WvW, and keep my Superior Force sigil on my weapon.

Does this sound good so far for a WvW GS build?

That aside, I have no idea what kind of trinkets / jewelry I should be looking at getting. Any further advice on this?

What I mean to say is, is the HotW set still the best for Guardians in the PvE game? Last I played, all guardians were grinding HotW to get the Koda gear because of the toughness / vit / power stats it offers.

Now I’m hard tasked to find a HotW group LFM in LA, or anyone even willing to form a HotW group.

Is there a new endgame dungeon that offers better gear for Guardians or have I missed the boat in terms of the larger population having already got their sets and not needing to run HotW any more? Is the vit / tough / power trio still the favoured stat combination on Guardians?

It’s been a long time since I played and I’m quite lost!
