Maybe effectively as a guild it would. For players, it can add flavour to a guild having members that have something in common.

We all happen to have a character that’s an Asura.
That’s not exactly much of a flavor for a guild when you have enough free character slots to have one of every race.

Tarnished Coast for the server? I’ve seen one before but it failed due to lack of faith and social interaction. Eventually I was the only one representing.

“Asura Panthers” sounds nice. or maybe “Asura supremacist organization”

Typically “racial” guilds are not just for people who have the race in question, but are interesting in actively pursuing a guild that also fits that theme. I would venture to say these people are – more often than not – roleplayers. (Hence the Tarnished Coast suggestion.)

In other games, limiting one’s membership was problematic, because you only got one guild. Here, though? No problem.

Now having outed myself, I humbly suggest: Asuran Research Coalition [ARC].

Asuran Society of Socialites.

Allied Asuran Allegiance – [AAA]
Unified Asuran League – [UAL]
United Asuran Alliance – [UAA]

I think you can see where i got those, as such i’d say the 1st one as we are about the same size as sea otters .

Any of those 3 would be great and i’d love to see a large Asuran only guild on Desolation.

Id join this, especially as each character can easily be in different guilds. Cross server guilds doesnt seem to be a problem either. Would be great once guesting is enabled, a hoard of azurans stampeding through Orr.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. A guild for asura events. Obviously not every player will be representing, but periodically we’d host parties and what not for the whole guild… all on their asura chars!

and screw pessimism. we’re Asura. if it fails the first time we’ll experiment and try it again and again until we figure out how to make it work.
on another page of these forums the question was asked: what do you love about your Asura?
my general answer would be everything. but the community would be a huge part of that. we have that. people who love Asura really love Asura. we can make this happen and work.
it’s funny though, for a game called Guild Wars, guilds have been the hardest part of the game for me. the experience of looking for 1 worth any effort has been downright bitter. i have 1 and only 1 because a very dear friend sensed my pain and created it just so i could say i had 1.
so yeah. let’s do it and do it hard.
