I discovered a new one today when I was using my asura guardian’s “hold the line” skill: “The castle is ours! This place will make an excellent lab.”

The more I play these guys, the more I love them. ;w;

Occasionally when my Asura Ranger switches pets he’ll say:

“I chose you!”

I think this may be a reference to those old Pokemon cartoons, where when they’d send they’re little critters out they’d always say, “I choose you!”

This could totally be a coincidence though. :P

Heard a new one today after using “hold the line”.

Whenever I start to think I’ve heard every piece of asura dialogue, a new line crops up and makes me smile. I’ve been playing the little guys since launch and they still manage to surprise me.

“Six feet tall!” Still bugs the hell out of me. It implies that bigger is better, and that clearly isn’t the case, since Asura-like is better. No self-respecting Asura would compare himself to a clumsy, bumbling bookah.

Hehe, I’m not a hundred percent sure but this seems to be one of the few occassions where the translation works better than the original.

The german equivalent I guess is : “Ein weiterer Beweis meiner Größe”.

Größe can mean both greatness and size/height. So she says: “Another proof of my greatness” with still having the ironic touch of a tiny creature feeling tall. So this line is actually one of my favourite ones in the german synchro.

When male Asura gets resurrected he says

“I was tired of lying on the ground”

My Guardian said something today that I’ve never heard before:

“Compared to me, most Asura have the intelligence of a carrot.”

Had me laughing for a good 5 minutes. XD

When soul-binding an exotic, my female Asura engineer said:
“Statistically speaking, this is rather rare!”

^ That happens often when I switch out my sword for my axe in LA after a round of FotM on my ranger.

I seem to be hearing “You’re dumb. You’ll die and you’ll leave a dumb corpse” more often on my asura Mesmer… I’m concerned about how that applies to her current unpredictable nature.

I’m curious if mesmer mantras differ from race to race? I can’t remember the lines, since there’s several of them and they’re three words long each (and I don’t use them either).

So far I have an Asura Engi, and a warrior, because of this thread I will have a necro.

For my warrior, when gaining adrenaline:
“Adrenaline approaching maximum”.
“Gaining adrenaline”.
Adrenaline at max:
“I am all round up”.
“They´ll regret, rallying me up”. (my fav, most of the times I repeat after him… but I add “these bookhas” will regret, rallying me up)

Both of my asura, when in rally:
“Assistance!”
“This can´t be happening”.

When helped during rally:
“It´s about time”.

When I change my exotic armor:
“Rare and valuable”.

My favorite: “More knowledge for me!”
When discovering land, it has a nice maniacal touch.

Statistically speaking, this is rather rare.

“I’ve defeated you, but you don’t know it yet.”

I play a female asura, theif, and I have questions about two lines that maybe somebody could help me with:

1) A while back in pvp hotjoin, I called out thieves guild and my character (or possibly one of the thieves) said a line I’d never heard before; something about more numbers assuring victory? I can’t remember, but I call thieves guild all the time and I’ve only heard the line once.

2) PvP tournamnet (idk, maybe that makes a difference?): I captured the keep node and my character said something strange…something about defending a castle? It was weird…

Anyway, if anyone else has heard those lines, I’d love to know what she was saying!

Like a month ago or so, everytime I summon my defensive GOLEM, I hear

“Requesting defensive GOLEM support!”
“I domain time itself” (or time and space itself)
and something about a mirror.

I feel so attach to my main (an Engi), that I felt curios about what an female Asura could say, so I made a female version of my main, she said mostly the same as above, but so far there is one in particular that makes me react.

“Help me I´m hurt” (most of the time I think, “don´t worry, that bookah will PAY!”)

Question, does anyone has a Ranger? I like:

“Glad to have you back” (like saying, “who´s a good boy”) =3.

“Stop staring at my ears…”

My female Asura said that when I used Boast in a Belcher’s Bluff game.

“Could I possibly get any stronger? scoff Of course I could!” (Leveling)

“Must lift with… legs.” (sometimes when lifting heavy things)

Some of the best ones I’ve heard, I’ve only had happen once since playing asura. I love this class.

PS: I’m advocating for the “/snow angel” animated emote. Then I could die happy

my fave i have heard my asura female thief say it 2 times in 9 months playing her is “I major in pain, with a minor in suffering” or my necro is “where did i put that….oh its dead”

My favourite is the snarky comment my male Asura makes when he gets rallied: “Guess who’s back? It’s me, by the way.”

Also, I know it doesn’t go here, but it tickles me whenever my Norn Guardian yells out: “By the power of ME! HAHAHA!” Best line in the game, IMHO.

I heard how my character yells something like"… i dont need army of golems for this.." any1 can confirm, or maybe know the correct saying, im curious, it was just after i killed critter xD

“Slick shoes, like greased lightning”- Asura male engineer using Slick Shoes.

Once my female asura said “Im still smarter then you” when downed and another time she said “how embarrassing” (also when downed)
