Ok, I have had a go at converting the theme from Princess Mononoke using some sheet music I found here. Improvements to this are welcome. I don’t have nearly enough skill to play this so instead I shall add a link to the soundtrack to give people an idea of the timing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Dpqy4x5PQk (orchestras would be awesome here but sadly we don’t have anything from an orchestral string section (harps are usually in a section of their own) and we don’t have quite the amount of control over the instruments that would be needed (b and #).

I was looking for a good music sheet thread but i couldn’t find it and most of the flute ones sound awful with a harp so i thought that there should be a topic for everyone where all the cool harp music sheets/videos goes here.

Hey, Aikata here from that other thread . Was just wondering, how are songs transcribed for flute not working on harp? They are in the same key and the harp has an additional octave, meaning that any song for flute can “fit” into the harp’s range or be expanded upon. Then you could throw in some chords if you’re feeling fancy.

Btw i didn’t make any of these i just copied them from the flute Topic and modified it to be easier to play on harp.

Not trying to steal anyone’s (or this thread’s) thunder, but I think we can save people a lot trouble if we keep our collections merged. If you guys want, I can keep a list for you and link songs you all post here on our front page. If it has chords or uses more than two octaves (what the flute is missing), I can label it “for harp”.

Again, not trying to force anything, but our original thread became a mess after five pages of submissions with nobody organizing it. I’m also trying to avoid people’s work being reposted without them receiving credit. What do you think?

That much goes to about 1:18 in the video. Trying to work out all of it, or at least to maybe the middle of the video where it really changes up. It’s all very smooth, any breaks are extremely short but necessary to make the flow sound correct. Most of the 3’s, 4’s, and 2’s with a – behind them are notes that are kind of snuck into the flow, so I wanted to make them pop out because you have to play them a certain way to make it sound right lol

Would be very happy if someone gets the sheet for the beautiful Nagisa’s theme (video with notes).
